IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FIRST OMEN YET, GO SEE IT AND COME BACK TO WATCH THE REPLAY. IF IT DOESN'T MATTER TO YOU WHETHER WE SPOIL IT OR NOT THEN STICK AROUND AND ENJOY! DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT BELOW.
Ralph, I just wanted to mention they could possibly continue this as a side story without damaging the lore any further. There are 20 years between damien omen 2 and rhe final conflict to play with and focus on these characters and their plight.
On Nell Tiger doing the shake thing at the end, I actually thought she was going to turn into a jackal and afterwards give birth to Damien, which I think would have been awsome and more true to the original.
It’s all a bit messes up, even with the Final Conflict pushing back Damien’s birth to 1950s (it was made in 1980), then this new timeline of girl antichrist in First Omen, not forgetting Omen 4 daughter of Damien which doesn’t correspond to Damien’s son in Gordon McGills sequel novels. My heads spinning.
I would like a little more background on Paul Buher and Ann from omen 2. Were they Satanists or did they share the demented beliefs of the church to bring about the antichrist. I have a feeling this group will grow and include some satanists. Ann will be sent to Chicago right around the time Bugenhagan dies. Richards first wife could die from a mysterious blood clot at the moment of Bugenhagans death.
Am I the only one that have problems with Damien's born especially with the time? I was under the impression that Damien had the three sixes because he was born at six of the sixth day of the 6th month. But if you pay attention he was born earlier than that
And it would be really cool to give Damien a daughter that has his powers and to know if she was his wife's or maybe some kind of an affair. And maybe be easier to understand. Damien you could say had it all in conflict.
I like to think Damien was tempted by Christianity from a girl he falls in love with. He even makes his way into a church. Buyer prays for Damien and Damien has a nightmare feeling Satan's pain and rejection and that seals it permanently.
My problem with the Church motivation is: 1 - it does not fit the behavior of the church staff involved. If they had done it to get more people to the church, they wouldn’t behave as totally obsessed and adoring the antichrist. In this sense they look more like if they were doing it for/from pure evil. So the motivation they narrated didn’t fit what they showed in the movie. 2 - they already have the devil itself locked up in their basement, why did they need to go through the whole process of try to give birth to the antichrist? Wasn’t the devil/monster enough to spooky people? They also didn’t care much about the devil, which was odd…
Yep. It follows my point. The devil jackal is also a good point. Release that thing in a church during mass and you’ll get people running back to the faith in no time!
And also they have the years between omen the conflict and the awakening. What happened to Damien from political in the 3rd one conflict and his daughter in the awakening.
With a due respect I don’t count the Awakening as part of the lore. It was made for tv Canadian film that made no connects to the first 3 films. I would recommend reading Omen 4, Armageddon 2000. A novel. That story is more consistent with the flow of the original 3 films
Not sure why they did not go with the book. Even a correct movie with the girl might have been good but it was wasted. The movie is just her doing destruction with no plot behind it to discover who she is and no connection to damien but two sentences later. Silly childish music in some killing scenes
