Thanks for the kind comments! There will be more content coming in the future. I've been swamped getting a Summer Logic course ready to go, so I've not had time to make any new videos. But, more content will be added!

Some (truncated) speculations: 1. You need to inherit a base philosophy from a different culture. Your own society's philosophy is glued down to the floor by your own society's version of "knowledge". What you inherit from your own society is constrained by your knowing too much. (I said truncated. Cut.) 2. Maybe the true value of all philosophy (let's say, for instance, the philosophy of partial differential equations) is just to give your brain a wrestling partner. Most of the knowledge you gain from fighting back against the crazy things the philosophers come up with just glues you to the floor from then on, but by having wrestled, sometimes this gives you a way of throwing a day to day problem. (cut cut cut!!)

I just gave the 13h like on this video. Will someone give the 14th? As they say: "I don't believe in mythos, but it does exist".

Thank you for helping promote my videos. I'm so happy that people find them useful. I have so many more in the works to be added. I've just been so busy with classes I've not had much time to work on them. Thanks again for watching and helping to promote the site!

Your comment is a myth. The argument of existence comes from Paramendia, the presocratic philosopher. It is contradictory to dismiss things as myths. Therefore, you're not using logical philosophy.

Thales: Life flows like a river. Anaximines: Change is the only constant. Law of Reversal. Anaximandros: Change is energetic. Energy pervades matter. Pythagoras: Energy functions in patterned ways which appear as forms. Demokritos: the smallest atomic unit of experience is an impression. Heraclitus: the Mind transforms/organizes the bundles of impressions received through the 5 senses into something recognizable called a perception. Perception is the Mind's identification system, answering the questions of what, who, how, why, where, when, etc. Parmenides: That which is nothing in particular (actual), is by definition everything in general (potential). 0. Potential = Being 1. Actual = Becoming (actualized) Since that which is not, is not; That which is, is all-inclusive: Absolute, Eternal, Infinite. the actualization of potential is Eternal and the potential for actualization is Infinite because only Eternity can fully embrace Infinity. We actualize potential by dreaming our experience (rehearsing the future), and experiencing our dream.

I enjoyed your terse observations here, especially those on Parmenides and immediately following, and also Pythagoras. But both Thales and Anaximenes, those ideas have been associated much more with Heraclitus, don't you think?--- or am I misunderstanding you?

@@counterstriving the pre-socratics were all involved in the same project. Their differences were in appearance only, for the sake of public controversy and the income and benefits that social debate offered at that time.
