Mustafa loved and revered Mahidevran much more than Suleiman historically. And even on the show, I don't think he loves Suleiman more, he loves them equally. He always wanted to protect Mahidevran. And Ibrahim was his role-model/idol when he became older, instead of Suleiman

I would not dare to question the legacy of Suleiman the magnificent but one thing was clear that his other half in true sense n his might was greatly inherited in genes by Mustafa..If only he could have been realistic n humble like Sultan Bayazet n gave his authority to Mustafa in his life to test him for once like Bayazad did with Mehmed The Conqueror, Mustafa would've conquered Rome without a doubt ...In one account he himself said that my first born reminds me of History,The legends of Mehmed..Even in series Musfata had dreams of Rome..

@@anagarza8326 he was known to be of rebellious nature..He never feared him that is one of the reason of his execution..He loved him.The proof is his letters where he calls him with dozens of pet names n even repeated his father's poems knowing how much he loves his poems

True. Mahidevran was also only a couple of years older than hurrem. She was a teenager when she had Mustafa.

That's absolutely not true. You clearly know nothing about ottoman history. Mahidevran was a very good mother, and very intelligent in real life. She acted as valide in Mustafa's harem when he was governing manisa and amasya, and she was very successful. The people in the empire loved her and her son very much. The ONLY one of Mustafa's parents who caused his death, was Suleiman. He was jealous and insecure because his subjects loved his son more than him
