@@jon5one7 exactly, I bought my first pair because they were on sale for $50 in like 2012, and the cheapest I got a pair from my skate shop was $15 brand new. Now I haven’t gotten a pair since 2018

I think when Crob was wanting more clarification, what i think he ment was: When you ride for chocolate, you are getting boards and can pick your boards at the warehouse, When you ride for akullcandy, you get headphones/earbuds and accessories When you ride for Supreme, you get clothes and accessories, including limited/unreleased merch So being on StockX, does that mean he gets guaranteed access(doesnt mean he would get them though) to all shoe styles/brands, and would even get the limited/hard to get drops ahead of raffles or apps? And would his skating really have any relevance with the content he would make for them, if so, how?

Sponsorship doesn't mean you get free shit. It means you get money for repping someone. This just means Robert Neal gets paid for making us talk about StonkX. Sure there might be swag but it's irrelevant.

@@DSG411 The fixation on the swag is weird here. It tells about the age of the viewership. When a skateboarder looks at a sponsor they first look at the wage. After securing living income it becomes about how the sponsor can improve the skaters career. It's never about the swag (beyond suitable board and equipment). It might be that he's getting his skateboarding needs fulfilled by current sponsors and is doing it for the dough. But regardless it's never about the swag.
