❤️ Thank you for this! I’m good, I’m safe and I’m excited to eventually return with a bunch of new videos (and other surprises). Times have been bumpy (for everyone), but I’m slowly clearing my way to get back to my normal routine soon. It could be weeks, but it could also be months... but I WILL return. Once upon a time, I lived in Seattle. I used to get my beans from the original TINY store at the Pike's Place Market. This was way before the huge expansion. To this day, I have a special place in my heart for Starbucks.

This was balsam for my soul. I could watch these videos all day every day. Stopped the first 10 seconds to make myself a coffee, to enjoy this video without gettng jealous. Didn't work though. Still jealous you guys are still able to travel. We are under a strict lockdown since before christmas and at least until mid of february. Not even travelling in Germany itself is allowed. You cannot imagine how I miss it. So seeing you walking the streets of Seattle (which is on my list for so long) was so cool. I hope there are more videos like this to come

We are also locked down. I only go out for meds and curbside grocery. This has been since about May of last year. We have a great mountain view from our patio and it saves our souls, that and our hummingbird friends. One of us would not survive covid for sure so we are content to isolate. Just be safe. Weigh every choice as life and death. For us this is living enthusiastically. We fight to reach the other side. Bill and Kathy

I'm living for the beard. Also, I used to be a hardcore Dunkin Donuts girl all the way, but I've been enjoying Starbucks more lately. I partially blame Shane, and I partially blame my obsession with the bacon gruyere egg bites. 😁

Thanks Stephanie! Although, the beard may or may not have gotten a trim. Nothing wrong with being a hardcore D&D girl, but I'm happy to hear that you've been spending a little more time at Starbucks. @@TheCandleEnthusiast Now, Regular coffee with some real 1/2 and 1/2. I started drinking coffee as a teen working construction. I drank regular coffee with sugar because the coffee had been cooking on the food trucks at job sites. Nothing like a strong cup of coffee outside at 7am when the temp is 10 deg F. My wife and I visited the Original Starbucks and Pike Place Market a few years ago. We were enjoying a magnificent vacation in Vancouver British Columbia. We took a day and drove down to Seattle to see the sights and visit some co-workers. We had a good time and look forward to making a trek back out to the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia again someday.

I am not in to drinking coffee but I do love the smell.....This must have been a great treat for you to visit...Those markets look so inviting and aromatic....You need to embody Buddy the Elf and eat some of that gum on the walls...LOL .I hope you get to do more adventures in 2021....All the mask mandates keeps me close to home because I don't do well wearing one for more than 5 minutes...I will be spending time outside here once it warms up enough to go without a heavy coat.

I am so jealous! That’s my dream trip but I keep having to put off. I’m really glad you got to go. I know people say that going to the first Starbucks is touristy but it’s on my list I actually would love to buy a mug there with the original siren on it. I’m so glad you got to see the gum wall. I love street musicians so much. I know that city has its bad issues but I still think that it is amazing and beautiful. I loved this vlog and I would love to have a fresh cup of Pike Place

You'll get there someday soon, Lara... I know it. Keep throwing that loose change into a jar for a rainy day in Seattle. Also, I found some cozy and very affordable options on Air B&B to lodge. I know it might seem a little strange, but there are so many folks that own massive RV's out there, and they rent them out. One young couple offered a week's stay in their massive RV for $500. Not bad at all considering that Seattle was only a 25 minute drive away. I'd be happy to share some of the affordable options that I found during my research. My rule for travel: always do it as cheap, but comfortable as possible. Oh and sure, the original Starbucks may be a bit touristy, but there was no doubt many locals waiting in line to get in. That's just proof that they're serving good coffee and that it's not just a tourist trap. Next time I'm out, I'll reach out and send you some pics of mugs that they have on the shelf. This way you can pick one out, and I'll snag one for you (my treat). As always, thanks for always sharing your positivity and support. P.S. I want to see/hear some ukulele soon... don't be embarrassed if you're still learning... I've been playing the guitar for 15 years and I'm still struggling... but the struggle becomes so much fun and is completely rewarding.

We may not be able to go this year like we had originally planned due to my medical bills but maybe next year we can go so I would love to see some affordable options :) . I very much hope that I'll soon get to spend some more quality time exploring the PNW (so much to do). And yes, not only did I grab a mug and a tumbler, I came home with a First Starbucks Store Bear as well (equipped with an accurate brown apron and a pair of bootcut jeans like mine). I always wanted to live in Seattle. It's such a beautiful place but too expensive now. We visited when I was a teenager (back in 2002). It was love at first sight. Haha.

I've been a few time and I completely agree. Spending most of my life in the north east, there's something about Seattle, or the PNW in general, that feels like an island away from the rest of the country... like a peaceful getaway in a cabin in the woods. I'm looking forward to spending more quality time up there. So much to explore and SO much coffee! Also, as you mentioned, the prices are continue to skyrocket. Much like San Francisco, I don't think I'd ever be able to swing living there long term. Thanks so much for sharing, commenting and watching, Samantha!

I'm not planning on any, but I never close the possibility. I'm just curious: are you interested in seeing a LIVE candle stream, or just a live video in general? I've been playing with the notion of putting together a small focus group of viewers to help aid me in understanding what folks want to see, what's working and what's not. Thanks!

So funny, Lauren... When I saw your name, I immediately thought of you. I was hoping you would catch that 😄 . Nope, I didn't smell any gum, but there was that beautiful smell of misty, rain-swept stone streets, cold salty brick and stone, lingering espresso vapors, with periodic waves of baked good from the market just above. Hope you get a chance to make it out there; I'd love to go back myself (so much to do). Thanks, Lauren!!

@@TheCandleEnthusiast it looks like all the sections from deerfield are there but each section has a store front think a street market and the ceiling is all LED lite so it changes the clouds move there's thunderstorms and stuff i'm excited :)

Dang, I new you were going to strangle me when you found out. It was a relatively unplanned trip a couple days after Thanksgiving. I would have loved to do SO much more, but I had to play with the few short hours that I had. I'm so sorry I didn't give you a heads-up. One day soon I'll take a legit PNW trip.

@@Swfl_tipsandtricks I did, but not as much fun as I would have liked. The day I filmed this was awesome, but short trips are always a bittersweet. I did get to drop in to Archie McPhee's (great!).
