Brand new Wright GB Kite Electroliner EVs have entered service on route R70. These are London's first GB Kites. They have worked on routes 20, 150, and UL16, And will run on route E7 in the future.
Route R70 has also returned to its original Richmond, Manor Circus terminus. On the 9th of September 2023, The route was temporarily extended to Kew Retail Park, Replacing route R68, Which was cut from Kew Retail Park to York Street, Twickenham due to the Manor Circus roadworks.
On the 22nd of June 2024, Route R70 will be retained by Transport UK, with GB Kites. Route R70 now runs from Hampton (The Avenue), To Richmond (Manor Circus). Via Hanworth, Nurserylands, Hampton Hill High Street, Fulwell Station, York Street (Twickenham), Richmond, And Richmond Station.
Route R70 runs every 10 to 20 minutes. A full journey takes around 45 minutes.
