I think your repairs are done with the best craftsmanship possible in the existing environment. The complaining "Experts" in this comment section don't have any content on their channels with proof that these repairs don't work, in fact most don't have any content. The items brought in are already broken so repairing them makes sense. Most of the repairs I've seen will be just fine and I suspect something else will break on the vehicle or the repaired item will break in another place because the vehicles are used under maximum weight and road conditions. Excellent work ...!
Apart from messing up the tempering of the metal, there is also now a dead space inside the half shaft that is unwelded. This will severely weaken an already compromised shaft. This isn't a repair, it's a bodge that will fail as soon as the vehicle is put under any real load. I suspect this has been done just so the owner can sell the vehicle to some unsuspecting buyer.
I used to watch these all the time...but the last one, with welding of a crankshaft with no balancing, and surface welds supposedly holding a crank together, and the crank being out of true after welding shows these are just fluff...no actual work being done here
