Playing games at a high level is always very interesting. Like, I think it's amusing how Murkrow is so omnipresent as a ready answer to Dondozo, and yet, in this tournament there isn't a single Dondozo in sight.
@PoisonFlower765
@PoisonFlower765 Год назад
It's the metagame triangle. The standard meta game is beaten by a countermeta, the countermeta gets so popular that people stop using the standard meta and build counters around the countermeta, and in a healthy meta, that countercountermeta usually doesn't fare well against the standard meta. Meta.
@123christianac
@123christianac Год назад
You got it backwards. Murkrow is a good Pokemon in general. Being the only Prankster Tailwind setter gives it a monopoly on instant Tailwind support. It was going to be used regardless of other Pokemon because of that. On the flip side, Dondozo is only good if you don't have an answer to it. Murkrow being common as a Tailwind setter means that it is everywhere. Since it can Haze away Dondozo's boosts away, running Dondozo isn't a good idea. That's why you didn't see any. To put it simply, Murkrow isn't run to as counter to Dondozo, but it can easily invalidate it. Because of this, you don't see Dondozo because it gets hard countered by a fairly common Pokemon.

Wolfey makes it so easy to understand his thinking, matchups, and what makes plays so good. It's very welcomed that he focuses purely on his own gameplay and doesn't diss others even when he loses. the thing i love about this channel is that i absolutely know nothing about competitive pokemon and only played it a lot casually yet with how the videos are made i can understand exactly whats happening and why some things are as cool, smart or lucky as it is. seeing what these pokemon can all do (when theyre not overleveled one shotting npcs) is just so cool to me. a pokemon id never ever use in the main game can look super fun to use competitively and the duo battles give so much more possibility for fun and cool strats. being told real quick at the start what every pokemon can do and what their purpose is just makes it really nice to watch. only piece of competitive pokemon i watch :)

I’m new to the channel and I’d think this was amazing the constant commentary was fresh and interesting and the cutaways to how the opponent Pokemon could set up was really educational Great video :)

Wolfe, it makes me so happy to see how far you’ve come. I remember watching the vid you made saying you quit your job to do RU-vid full time, that you were scared but hopeful. Well my man You did it, so proud of you 🙌🙌 love you always 💪🤘

I am not gonna lie, I was "watching" this vid as background noise on my second monitor... But after seeing how top level the editing and presentation was during the team building section I knew I had to pause whatever else I was doing and REALLY sit down and watch this vid, and I'm glad I did! Phenomenal vid Wolfey, easily the best vid this year so far (wink) and massive kudos to your editing team!

This was an amazing video, so enjoyable to watch! Nobody makes Pokémon content the way Wolfey does, it’s not even close! Keep it up 👏👏👏
