Dude I’m from Michigan and I try to surf as much as I can. But I wish Lake Michigan fresh water was more buoyant so I could use different boards besides longboards or Mid length. Like my Dads has a short board that you only can ride like once a season but hopefully we get a descant summer swell soon so I can ride it!
Board looks amazing. In the market for a new small to medium wave board. Im 53 200 pounds surfing Virginia Beach and OBX. I am torn between a 6' 49 liter sweet potato and a 6'3 Too Fish? Any help from the firewire crew? Thanks so much!
They'd work on any surfboard, as long as you put them in the right way. Whether or not they SUIT the board they're in and your style/desires, is up to you.
I tried running the keels in my Seaside. No good for me. Like Rob said, the Seaside was designed to be a quad. I feel the placement of the front fins really puts your back foot too far behind the pivot point and makes it really tracky. I should've just listened to Rob, haha!!!
"I'm not contest guy anymore. I think we were both there at one point in life." Just a high five away from a world title but let's not go there. "Yep, we've been there." Moving right along. 🤫
@@firewiresurfboards ok thanks for the reply! Yeah it does go very well with his quad set. I just thought it might offer more in waist and below waves as a twin keel.

The Seaside is great, but it seems like FireWire is just popping out random boards to make money after the success of the Seaside. I think it would be better if they just stick to good boards, rather than making some not so good ones that are on their website for a year and then discontinued because they realized they put out a board that isn’t good and doesn’t sell.
Check our Instagram @firewiresurfboards. We have a contest going with our friends at @vuoriclothing, giving everyone a chance at winning a Too Fish + more.
Yes, absolutely. Just size it about as long as you are tall. So if you're 5'11, buy a 5'11. More advanced surfers can ride the Too Fish as much as 6 - 8 inches shorter than their height.
Yes. Rob tested and designed them in collaboration with both the Sunday and Too Fish specifically. The Sunday has been updated as well to only have twin keel fin boxes, with no single fin option, because of how much Rob has been liking that shape as a twin keel.
