This is how I speed up the setup. I use a single-stage BTP pump to inflate the main chamber, which takes about 15 minutes. At the same time you can inflate the other two chambers with hand pump, which is quite easy and only takes about 5 minutes. After that you can do all the other tasks such as installing transom, seats, mounting the motor, etc. So the total setup time is about 15 minutes. After that it's a matter of putting C-Tug under the transom and pull the boat to water. Deflating is actually quite easy and takes less than 10 minutes. It takes considerable amount of effort to move it into your car by one person though.
Everything they said about this boat is true. This is a high complemented boat. Every time I take it out to the water I get 3-4 complements of how great the boat looks. I do recommend buying a electric pump because it really takes a lot of air. I have mine paired with a 6 hp Yamaha and I love it. The boat fully loaded with one person gives me about 13-14 mph (speed) with some ocean current. If you will use this boat fully loaded for fishing you will need some one else to help. I customized mine with back and front swivel wheels, this gives me the ability to take it to the water by myself. The setup, cleaning, flushing my outboard motor and the putting everything away takes me 2-3 hours but it is well worth it.
831sabino would be cool to see how you customized the back and swivel wheels. I too would like to use it alone but not sure what is needed to use this alone. I’m debating between this one or the fishing angler one.
Ok , not bashing. I'm trying to learn. Why did you get this over a SIB You would have more room. The Soft Inflatable is more sea worthy. Also it looks like the interior space is about 7 or 8 feet due to the design. Is the 2 1/2 hours using a manual pump ? I have a 11 1/2 foot Zodiac set up much like your Skiff except I dont have a trolling motor. (oars) and I have electronics and a Bimini top. I have setup time down to 30 minutes with and electric pump. The boat lives in the back of my car. I was thinking if using the skiff as a crabbing platform
Ronald J the 2-3 hrs are for the set up, deflation and storage for all my gear (before and after fishing). I use an electric pump and it takes about 30 minutes to fill the 3 sections of the boat. I chose this boat over the SIB because of the shape, it is perfect for fishing, cruising around and the best part is that my boat gets all of the attention from the anglers. Literally I spent about 20 minutes a day answering people’s questions about this boat 🚣♀️
Joseph Schmoe I think it would take less time if I would take it to fresh water since you don’t have to rinse the salt away from your equipment. Like I said the time mentioned above is from start to finish (set up and storage). I would like to know how this boat works with a trolling motor and the speed?
