Hi Scott, nice snapper , good call to come inshore, I got caught in big swells, surfing on the throttle full ahead/ full astern very scary ! Friendly tip it's not good have baits in the water with a dolphin near the boat, they will grab baits and nobody wants hurt a dolphin. They will damage crab nets too. Your video recordings are so good love your work. Cya
Cheers Mate Dolphins are way to smart to grab a bait attached to a line, ive never heard of it happening. I fish with dolphins around all the time and they almost seem to heard the fish over to us . alway catch when they are there, maybe irts just a bait thing fish are feeding on the bait same as the dolphins. cheers for watching
Great fish in perfect snapper conditions. Could hear the Adrenalin/fear in your voice so that swell must have been bad. Oh and pellets for the win…again!
I fish in some pretty average conditions but that day was out of my comfort level. Think it was a 4m swell had to zig zag through breakers to get out . Shouldn’t have done it. I let keen over ride common sense
Hey Scotty, I know what you mean about the scary sweet and the GoPro showing nothing. But like you say, they look scary, but you know they're not going to hit you and that's why you're there in the first place. Funny that when it gets dark it's no longer scary since you just can't see the swells 😅
@@wazzastinnyfishing yeah I’ve gone out early morning before and not realised quite how big it is until the sun came up. Very dangerous when crossing over some spots
Mad session in the swell, you know it’s big when you can see it through the GoPro! Got what you wanted and got out of there job done 🎣✅ cook up looked good to 🤤😃
Had to laugh when you picked up the second rod. 😂. But i get you on that swell, i have a small boat and have done the same many times over. Great video mate! I do have a question, with the easterlies your boat will point towards the coast and your burley runs to the front of the boat. I find that when this occurs i don't get snapper, was this the case for you on the day?
Depends but mostly this time of year the current runs to the south .you can see the lines heading that way. East is ok , a lot of south makes it awkward but you can still catch
Good episode, you do look very nervous in this one, but who said fishing wasn't risky. 11:07 that dolphin got close. Normally i pack up and leave when i see them but its working for you
Not really I only want one fish and everything dies if dragged up from that depth. I don’t fish to “bag out” and eat fresh rather than freeze Not worth the journey for one fish
