@@88KeysIdaho This is Matt, I actually knew how to play video poker before I knew how to drive. He always had the software installed on the family computer so I would play any time I got bored.
Draft kings sportsbook/casino just opened in Michigan back on February 1st. I just checked there video poker for jacks or better at $1 bet pay table is 9/4, Jacks better bonus 8/5, Bonus poker deluxe 9/6, double bonus 9/7, double double bonus 9/6, triple double bonus 9/7, duces wild 4/3, duces wild bonus 4/3, joker poker 7/5. So the best four to play in order based of your pay table are #1. double bonus poker at 9/7, #2. Triple double bonus 9/7, #3. Bonus poker deluxe 9/6, and #4. Double double bonus 9/6.
Make sure to use your player card even if your just booking a room. If your staying on a busy day there are occasionally issues with rooms so they will be forced to upgrade people. If you use your card and paid full price for the room it increases your chance of getting the better room.
Been there done that! 5.99 fee in an Atlantic City casino using their A T M machines plus 3.50 or more from your bank on top of that for each transaction plus more money if you ask for your balance and again for a receipt! It could literally cost 15.00 for a 100.00 withdrawal! Wow !!!!!
All good and correct tips. #6 Have a large enough bank role to offset a bad streak and set win/loose limits. I've been playing proper VP for 15 years. Playing VP with comp points always paid my my whole 1st class trips to Las Vegas. I usually play multi hand because single hand is just too much of a grind. Also because if I get dealt a decent hand (ie 3 of a kind) I can hit a big win and walk away. Thus bank role and limits is a must.
Here are my 4 things needed to give you a chance at winning at Video Poker: A Bankroll and Perfect Strategy, Luck, and a Jokers Wild machine east coast style where 5 of a kind is the jackpot instead of Royal Flush, it should be very obvious!!!!!
GlenMiz - Check your soundcard settings in Control Panel for volume control...... "night listening" or similar may appear, it should/could even out the volume...... compressing the dynamic range to prevent huge spikes in volume and also to bring weak signal up. Like when watching a movie with two people whispering and a car explodes outside the window..... "compression" is the magic to manage those drastic sonic moments.
Hi Steve, one thing I have found when checking the pay tables is that some machines change the pay tables depending on the denomination of your bet. So it's important to change the denomination on the machine to the amount you want before you check the pay table. I mostly visit tribal casinos so I'm not sure if this is common practice in Las Vegas.
I am so tired of losing at slots so I will now play video poker. Thanks for the tips. Yes, I do use a players card and get moreplay, rooms and food all the time. I would like to win some money for a change instead of just always donating
Forget about it. Royal Flush jackpots are the worst in odds. There are only four ways to win. You're better off with Jokers wild because five of a kind is easier to get because there are 13 ways to win !!!!!
evofd no not true in my experience of tens of thousands of hands. How much you bet affects your wins. Indisputable to anyone who tries out this notion. Betting the same all the time and the game plays even back. If you are even betting but you bet the min recently, big wins get denied. Again, indisputable.
I would like to thank you for this insight. However, with what you said about the paytable, I don't know if the consequence about the W-2, G is the same like it would be with a slot machine. I just wanna be careful and make sure.
True...and don't seat too long...then the house will switch your machine remotely back to their advantage. Regulation is just a written paper...actual function of the machine set by the house. Regulator and the house always kiss each other asses to survive themselves.
What I find lacking in the training software is that when you make a mistake, the software will tell you so, but it doesn't tell you why you made the wrong choice. Its not enough to tell me that you played the wrong unless you tell me why.
I’d just like to point out, that if you’re betting less than normal, it may not be a good idea to use your players card. I believe the casinos also rate you on your average bet. So for example, if you normally bet $3.00 a hand and on a particular day, you have a less bankroll and are playing.30 or .50 a hand, it may be better to play without it? Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I’m an instance like that, it may hurt you more than benefit you by using it.
You have a valid point. If you normally play several hundred dollars on your card each time at the same casino and you happen to lust play a few hands/spins on one visit, then yes, it would lower your average "theo" and it would be a bad idea. Wed discuss this topic more in this other video - One Easy Tip to Increase Your Players Club Benefits - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FHtYqJGDs7s.html
nice, that's not bad at all! Our record was 3 in an hour, hit the first 2 on quarter triple play in the same spin holding 4 to the royal then moved up to dollar single line and hit another one like 20 minutes later.
I'm watching this because I was playing video poker on gta san andreas and it was like printing money. I understand that's a video game but if the pay out is the same then I feel like a fish for playing hold em when this was right there
haha. dude i dont think the video game is using a random card generator. its probly a couple hundred predetermined hands. Holdem the better choice if you have a edge.
I’m an expert at video poker and that game has kicked my ass in the long run. Many $200 beers playing that game. I do have a players card, I’m a President level w Station’s Casinos in Vegas. I get a free room pretty much anytime I ask, good $ bonus’ too. Even with all of that I can safely say I’m way behind in video poker. To top it off, I usually have about $8000 in taxable jackpots to deal w each tax season. Stay away, if you can.
The problem with video poker is that it's all about getting a royal flush. However, somewhere along the line you're going to encounter a long streak where you don't get a royal, which could potentially break you.
Palm N I visited San Manuel casino a couple of weeks ago for the first time. It’s a lovely casino. It’s big, beautiful and their machines don’t pay out less than any other casino. It all comes down to luck and timing. Slots are a negative expectation game, so go to the casino and expect to lose. If you win, consider it a bonus.
You guys are great but you never talk about The Jokers Wild Machines that Atlantic city has The 8/5 version is where 5 of a kind is the jackpot for 4000 coins, Not Royal Flush which is a ripoff on the other poker machines. Anyone who has any sense should know that there are 13 ways to get a 5 of a kind and there are only four ways to get a Royal Flush, Its so obvious it's hard to get many video poker players to realize this and admit this, I am right and can prove it!!!!!
If you like to play video poker then you should definitely consider buying a video poker software program to help you learn the proper strategies for playing any video poker game like a pro!. See more, here - www.americancasinoguidebook.com/video-poker-software.html
Sure seems like the video poker machines are programmed to hit the big hand or not. Every time I need one card to win a big hand like dealt 3 aces and need an ace or need one card to hit a royal, the card needed shows up on the next hand in the middle. Why is it sometimes I can hit numerous four of a kinds and other times I can’t hit one? I’m still not convinced they can or can’t program the video poker machine to make winning hand? Any comments are appreciated, thanks.
It's all just the randomness of the game. I know several professional video poker players who have played for many years and they all have no problem trusting the honesty of the video poker machines.
One more thing, so it shouldn’t matter where I play video poker in either Nevada or the Indian casinos in California, as long as the pay tables are good? Even with the newer single play poker machines? Thanks again.
So they basicly state that you can't win a lot playing video porker and then they say but if you use the house card then it becomes profitable because you get credits for the money you lose. Do you guys work for the casinos?
LOL Casino's don't make mistakes when it comes to money. The reason being in my opinion of the change in payout is to have more small payouts for the higher payout .
tm4tare If you’re in Las Vegas, play in the off strip casinos where the “locals” play. You can usually find the best payout tables at these places. Also, room rates and those irritating “resort fees” are usually less expensive there as well. Cheers and good luck!
@@deeboyd6646 check a website called vpfree2(dot)com. just replace the (dot) with a . they will tell you what the best video poker games are in any casino.
My wife always wins at the slot machines. She takes money out of MY wallet, loses it in the machines, then comes back to me for more. Its a win-win (for her). On the plus side, if she DOES happen to win, she keeps it all. So I got that working for me. Which is nice.
What good are free rooms or even free food if I’m trying to make real money playing. Free stuff is just an enticement to get you to lose more money obviously
The casino already has a house edge, why would they risk their gaming license? Also, keep in mind 99% of people aren't playing perfect strategy nor do they watch RU-vid videos.
evofd The random generator chip is what sets the machine to pay or not pay. Some casinos especially like in Philadelphia casinos the payback rate for all slots is around 70 % then that stinks you really don't have any real chance of winning and my advice is to stay away. Atlantic city casinos payback rate is still at least 86% so you have a better chance of winning!!!!!
When you play every hundred hands, only bet the minimum bet three or four times in a row. This is three or four percent of the games yes? If you are getting ALL the big wins in those four hands only, over and over and over again you do this, tell me the games are NOT rigged and I will lot believe you. However, once in a while I switch the fourth time that I would have bet minimum, I manage to scrape that big win instead of seeing the minimum bet win. To have ALL the big wins happen continually only on less than three percent of my bets, and only because I bet the minimum bet. Any game that does this IS cheating....and no wonder you have to get complimentary cards to compensate for this, they KNOW they are guilty. It is mathematically impossible to maintain a winning formula of less than four percent of hands that are capable of winning, and especially since those four hands of a hundred, are specifically your lowest get games. Folks the games do this. Over and over. Here in B.C., the government swears the province's licensed game is checked to be sure it is not cheating. Yet it does it too. Basically I am stating if you bet more than min for a hundred hands, and then you do minimum for a few hands in a row, you will get jackpot wins, straight flushes, 4 of a kind, flushes, fh, etc.....over and over it will do this. You just come out very far behind doing this because, well, you are being screwed by a subtle program even governments do not notice. It is time for the cheating to stop. I've triggered this phenomenon over tens of thousands of hands now.
evofd I called my government here in B.C. about this.... If you catch a game of theirs here in this province you can inform them. As far as they are concerned, people "check", and tell them if the games are clean or not. Video poker cheats by denying you high stakes wins with high bets. Hey I've gotten high stakes jackpots don't misunderstand me. Play a hundred hands. Only play three four or so in a row with minimum bet you can play, and if you suddenly find big jackpots happening just on those few hands, over and over, you know you are being cheated. It's mathematically impossible to always only win big jackpots with your only minimum bets continually. You will find statistically that your biggest wins are with your lowest bets and you barely win anything at all with the bigger bets. Unless you are betting a lot of bigger bets, in which case you will get wins because volume. It's a shame the games cheat this way, but you can find a game that is NOT cheating using this method. Myself, I have not found one yet that does not have this randomness defying win phenomenon. I have not found a single game not cheating.
I have two questions. I am totally blind and I use the iPhone with voice over. Are there any video poker software packages for the iPhone which are compatible with voice over? Two, let's say I have ten dollars. If I put one in the machine and win, what's the pay off? Is it even money or one to one, meaning I win one coin making it eleven dollars Or even money meaning I still have the original ten? Thanks
Don't know about the voice over software, but all video poker games give the odds as "for one". So you would only be paid the winning amount. If the odds were stated as "to one" then you would be paid the winning amount, plus your original bet. If you bet $10 and win a bet that pays "2-for-1" you would get back $20. If you bet $10 and win a bet that pays "2-to-1" you would get back $20, plus your original $10 for a total of $30.
The results are random and the casino itself doesn't control the outcome. Rather, it is the random number generator (RNG) inside the machine which controls the outcome on any deal, or draw, of the cards.
You're kidding me, right? I've been to Chinese buffets that were FIVE dollars. It shouldn't be hard for you to find an 8 dollar buffet locally without going to a casino. I would expect most serious casinos to have buffets that are cheaper than that. Well we might not be talking about the same kind of dollars. I'm talking about US dollars. If you're in Australia or New Zealand or something, that would explain your shock at hearing about 8 dollars.
Looks like only1 of the software links in there still works...im heading up to Niagara Falls the next few nights and i see there are a few decent VP games and wanted to download the strategy software
They change the payback percentage by changing the pay table. Usually, on a flush or full house. Each time it is lowered by one coin it lowers the percentage by about 1.1%
Get up and walk away , after 7 - 10 hands . Always hold for the highest hand . If you have a low pair and a 3 card flush , go for the flush . Hold the ace not the low pair . Go for the highest hand in VP . VP is not like playing , a real poker game . Go for highest possible hand all the time . Don't play safe in VP . Leave the machine after a set amount of hands : 10 or less . Don't be sucked into staying at the same machine all night .The more machines you play the higher your odds at winning . Keep moving and walk away , when you're ahead .
A lot of bad advice in your comment. The machine doesn't care how long you play, it will only generate random card deals. Learn more about video poker, here - www.americancasinoguidebook.com/how-to-play-video-poker.html
Video poker is not a SPIN, its a hand. Software programs now lets the house to watch your play, if you are playing perfect you will be labeled an advantage player and your comps will be effected.
You could use a smartphone app to tell you what hand to play They don't allow smartphones at tables, but people use their smartphones that slot machines all the time. They would have no idea what you're doing on your smartphone
Caveat about the free play. You should be able to cash out any win. For example, pretend that you get $50 in free play and on the first hand you win $2. You should be able to cash out the $2 immediately, leaving $45 free play still in the machine. At this point, just continue playing and cash out every win. That way I don't accidently play winnings; I only play the free play. Of course, if you pay closer attention than me, 10 spins and you are good. I say should because I don't know that this will work in every casino on every machine.
Guys-I played a FIXED Video poker machine at Bally;s AC---I hit a double joker royal for 1K , then hit 13 hands later for 5 Queens for 500.00 . I played same machine for 8 hours-the exact same scenario-cards dealt in exact same order Double joker royal, and 13 hands later a 5 Queen 500.00 Jackpot. ...I would say the game was FIXED lol..it was an OLD Video poker machine--they removed it in 2006
I win more without their card in. Especially if I've won a jackpot. He can say what he wants but every single jackpot I didn't have card in. When I play I've had the card in and straight loss 6 to 10 hands in a row then as soon I take it out money come back. Now maybe it's on a cycle of pay out but a pattern is a pattern
I really think that the newer video poker machines are controlled, at least at the Indian casinos of California. Went to two Casinos recently, Hard Rock of Sacramento and the Harrah’s of Nor Cal, I couldn’t hit but one small four of a kind in each. I played $1,700, with quarters on single hand video poker. Every time I had three of a kind I couldn’t make the hand, and the card I needed would come up on the next hand dealt. Numerous times I was one off from a Royal and next hand the card needed shows up. It’s definitely controlled or programmed, never again will I go to any Indian Casinos. I’m giving up on video poker, or any other type of gambling it’s all a lost cause! A waste of time and money, money I needed for my family. I’m feeling really sick I lost so much, please don’t make it sound like it’s so easy to win, at video poker. I am an experienced video poker player and I know the strategies for most versions. It’s all a lost cause!
3:34 no it's not against game regulations. They will do switch in order to have the edge over you. There is no game regulator seating there to watch when the house switch the game. You guys only read the rules...not the actual functioning of the machine. Stop misleading people, preaching the truth behind the curtain.
I can throw away a card and it will be drawn. Not a cheat, but just keep in mind you can hope to get a card you just threw away. It can happen and once I was rewarded for this.
americancasinoguide yeah well it has occurred more than once, perhaps people are not paying attention. I enjoy your channel and more or less agree with what you present, I am glad you do not perceive me as otherwise. Once I see discrepancies, I am public who likes to share. If games ARE cheating and hoodwinking even governments, that's not your fault. I have played video poker for years, hundreds of thousands of hands. I have had my share of very huge jackpots that I bet big blindly at the right time. This game is fun, however I am able to trigger wins which is kind of a letdown.
As long as you are playing in a regulated jurisdiction you needn't worry about being cheated at video poker. I know many professional players, who have been playing for many years, and they are never concerned about the casinos cheating at video poker.
Some good points but I REALLY disagree with the last point. Playing when there are promotions is great but to not play unless there are promotions takes this out of the realm of fun/entertainment into work. I play for fun, not income. You need to balance your microphones. Old guy hard to hear while young guy makes me turn down volume.
they give you half what the machine says on-screen. look on top of machine it tells you how much money has for jackpot ten machines in one spot one wins jackpot mostly on ends. like pot of gold pay 3 50 cents on 2 dollar for jach pot mostly 25 cents you win less 3dollars a bid you get 3 7s 35 dollars win with 2 dollars win 25 dollars 250 points on sun-wed-aint but 2 dollars 50 cents you play 500 dollars you get 5 dollars 1000 dollars 10 dollars.play on Wednesday more games to choose from.is it beginners luck I went first time without card put 5 dollars in machine pot of gold won 2300 dollars off 5 queens next 2 months I went won 1500 on jackpot on jacks are better ace-high s.flush.after that I won nothing in 10 years get your own room next door casino you get free room from casino they well get their money back.
Jokers wild is the best game and it's seen a lot in Atlantic city five of a kind is Better than a royal flush because there are 13 ways to win and only 4 ways to win for a royal. If the jackpot for jokers wild is five of a kind for 4000 coins then that's the game to play Period!!!!!
@@GaryLuKOTH I'm not too familiar with joker poker so I had to look it up. Coincidentally, the version of joker poker that pays 4000 for a 5 of a kind is actually one of the lowest paying versions. Full pay joker poker pays back 100.64% which actually makes it one of the best video poker games out there (but its rather hard to find), the version that pays 4000 for a 5 of a kind only returns 98.59%. I would assume that is because it pays even money for kings or better AND for 2 pair.
I live in Pennsylvania however a lot of the pay tables here suck, Atlantic City which is where I go most of the time still has 9/6 even a couple 9/7 pay tables and I was shocked. But Borgata, Harrah's, Resorts and Ballys has them!
wsop app sure as shit flips a switch and makes you lose. If you lose 23x in a row you flopped a set all to 4 to flush or str8 on board. If you lost on river 82 times between you winning on it. If u go all in when dealt pk AA or Kk and if anyone calls the flop Is either paired which just happens to be a card opponent holds or makes a str8 or flush for them 33 times before finally winning (A hand that got checked down and was the pot min.i should add) And the worse of them all, 4 to flush or open ended off flop and bricking 144 of 150 but all 6 I hit was when someone had a bigger flush. Amount of times opponents chased and made in the time it took me too reach 150 hands 203 of 207. wsop says im just unlucky which I must be since the odds of these things happening are about 10 billion to 1
