Andreas, I truly appreciate your work. Each time I watch one of your videos I feel great, better and smarter as I learn something new in EACH talk you do. Is there any kind of podcast format so I can start hearing you 24/7? You are a River of useful information, each time, my brain grows bigger. THANKS. RESPECT, from Brazil.
You deserve to be called SAINT ANDREAS ! Your courageous ideas are bubbles of fresh hope in this dark epoch. When i listen to you, i am convinced that the CLAN OF LIGHT can win, following these principles or values : LIBERTY, EQUALITY, VERITY, BEAUTY
Bravo Andriko Your stand up game has gone to the next level, keeping things calmer and emotions in check. I remember the old days you would get so fired up and start rushing your speech.😅 Must be that peloponese blud in you.😋
At the exactly 14:00 mark of the video, AA mentions that he can receive the funds from the Russian publisher immediately by using Bitcoin. This is exactly the reason why the criminal banking cartel will never allow Bitcoin to reach fruition. This man has been absolutely straight info from Day 1. This video is spot-on. Thanks AA!
Fantastic speech and well spoken as always with my favourite sense of dry humour. Keep up the great work Anthony. I’ve bought your book on Mastering Ethereum and can’t wait to get through it all.
Bitcoin is way, way, way ahead in terms of network effect. Its not absolute perfection which is most important. Bitcoin is good enough. That said, its not a guarantee that bitcoin will win, its just likely. Monero also has tradeoffs, for example: you can’t know if there are any inflation bugs because everything is private. Also Bitcoin will continue to add privacy features like taproot and shnorr and will develop privacy on second layers like wasabi wallet. Maybe this type of privacy will be good enough.
Use Bitcoin for hoarding and use Monero for private transactions (and also for hoarding :-). They do not need to exclude one another. Monero is one of my favorite alts. There is more than enough room for both of them (and a fair amount of other coins). I don't think there has to be just "one winner". This is not Highlander. We don't want a one world-currency anyway. It's good and healthy to have many competing coins, using different techniques and approaches and trying to solve different problems. Let a thousand flowers bloom. The killer application is still "money" of course. The concept of being able to "choose your money" is a very powerful one. Most (but certainly not all) of the altcoins will die off eventually. Bitcoin is the mothership, there's no denying that - and is de facto becoming the ultimate store of value (ok apart from physical land and real estate). Other coins are perhaps more suited for micro-transactions and others are best suited for complete and utter privacy, like Monero. As a functional form of money Monero is in many ways better than Bitcoin, in terms of being more in line with what Milton Friedman envisioned when he predicted "e-cash" back in 1999. Specifically because of its privacy features. Also, a low and steady inflation is not a bad thing (which Monero will have because of its permanent tail emission). Milton Friedman said that he'd rather have a computer control a steady money supply instead of trusting central banks or governments with this task.
Open, public, borderless, neutral and censorship-Resistant. If it's open it's (by definition) borderless and neutral, right? Borderless and neutral are consequences of openness, am I correct? Can we simplify it by removing those two?
Could you please give us the code of the pithon script to do an emoji tweet transaction please ? Fantastic talk like always !!! Thanks for all the work !!
Ok, I've an issue, a few, with this whole declaration of independence from Bitcoiners: 1. (I"m a leftie, it's not that I mind to pay taxes but) how can we declare ourselves safe from gov oversight if the gov threatens to sue Coinbase, wants reports from them to know of the investments? If our money can still go to politicians' coffers via corruption, or wars etc, we're not really neutral, and I could argue to receive reports of who invest and tax them is a form of censorship; 2. if our initial entry into the world of Bitcoin is a currency, this still linked to other currencies, which are backed by nothing, and what would happen if those currencies collapse, but we need them to still live in the world; I still think that's not much of an independence that we initiate and pretty much need to exchange it to function in many ways; 3. it's dependent on the internet, so govs still have power, they could decide to go beyond the current level of totalitarianism, we know of countries that don't have internet right? and our internet is super controlled and censured by states; in a how to video, Cripto Casey explains the need to get a new gmail account, and what is Google if not a major corporation in total cahoots with the Permanent State, not just the gov itself, but we're Amazon, FB, Google as accomplices of Permanent State policies, censorship, surveillance etc ... and so are all the other companies aren't they, at least subjugated or they could be closed! Verizon, AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Netgear ... they depend on gov letting them keep their companies aline online! I find it all fascinating but I don't see that we're so independent!
But Bitcoin is just another PayPal or Venmo right? What's the point? Love how Andreas shows the fallacy of thinking this way at the end. Excellent speech!
So are money transmitter licenses required?? You make a strong argument 💪👊 Just googled the cost for a MTL: $1-1.5 million dollars (!) and the license takes ~2 years to acquire! Insane. 🤦🏼♂️🤔🙄 Apparently PayPal and Venmo are Money Transmitters.
If you were to write another book on a blockchain project other than Bitcoin or Ethereum, one you're interested in and has a real reason to exist and its network grow, what would it be on - if there is one? :)
You seem to be a very conservative guy..... I don’t understand why you would pick on a president who embodies those same principles. I’m Talking about trump. Love ya and agree with all your points. But trump is the one that represents freedom and liberty and a government of the people.
Antonopoulos says interesting things, but there is also some bullshit in his talks. For him blockchain is just about money, which is a very narrow view.
Statistical evidence also supports the notion that a handful of projects will succeed. There’s not much I can counter with as your argument has no substance. Have a good day, sir!
@@aaroncbradley5725 that's not eth, btc is much better for it. Eth was not designed to be money. Still as a dapp platform eth still has nothing to show for. That's a fact.
Ummm... the border thing. WHy the heck you even need to mention it. It's just a paper with symbols or a flash drive :D They cannot even know what the fack that is in the first place. It's like declaring your flash with word documents "oh, here is my flash drive with word documents" wh-what.. :D The funny thing is you really can put it inside a text and.. ahaahah, or even funnier - emoji inside a text. hahaahha Second, even if they know, it's not "money" in the traditional sense, it will become if you convert it, so you don't transporting/transfering "a money".
