I’ve been climbing the ‘Forming’ stage for so long, ever since I left corporate world. ‘Be an entrepreneur’ I heard. ‘Start a startup you’re in Silicon Valley’ I was told. what kind of leadership style that a leader should apply in a norming stage wherein employees tend to resist to change their working patern, value to adapt to group’s?
Hi Bennet, great question! Be sure to ask for each individuals input and feedback. If the team member feels as though they have contributed to the change, they are more likely to buy in to the change. If the individuals' personal values align to the teams' values, they are far more likely to be engaged. A democratic leadership style, where you empower the individual team members, may help you embed the change.
