The most heartbreaking thing about this scene is Barry realising he missed out on his kids life. He wasn't really as affected seeing he went missing it was the fact he never got to see his daughter grow up. Barry was just talking to Iris about seeing her first and he isn't even there and that's what's hurting him

Whenever Nora comes from the future she tells everyone that the flash is still missing 25 years later, but if you don't remember in the episode invasion (Season 3 Episode 8) Dr. Stein and a few other people listen to a recording of the Flash 40 years from now, so that means that Barry ends up coming back or they changed the future and Barry never even goes missing. The Flash is around 28 to 30 years old so 25 years from now he'll be anywhere from 53 to 55 years old. Whenever Barry Allen recorded the message 40 years from now he would be 68 to 70 years old. I personally hope and think that they will end up changing the future where he never ends up going missing.

That moment with Nora’s first appearance felt really out of place. They talked for about a minute, and so you knew it wasn’t a random extra. Was so happy we got a whole season with Nora.
Yeah when they showed her in the background from the back view I knew there was something very odd about it and she walked up to him I mean she was literally fangirling Berry that's a wait a minute wait a minute something's very strange here she only had about maybe a 20 second clip but it was enough to convince me and everybody watching that actress that played his daughter was connected to him the moment she grabbed his arm I knew something was up and told him don't forget to say I do because if you don't say I do she won't be born.
This season kills me more then any show I’ve watched in my life. I have 2 daughters that I just haven’t been around. I feel so bad and upset of what Nora must have gone through. I do my best as a father but watching her it just doesn’t feel like it’s good enough. Nora my heart breaks for you.
You know this plot line almost mirrors a fan theory that I had where some speedster comes back in time to get barry's help in closing the black hole that was created when RF went back and Barry chased after him.

@@lexi219 yeah i have very few memories of before school childhood and even then they are either trauma or something really inconsequential like the shade of yellow paint that was on the walls of a house i lived in at that time nothing like a proper memory more like fragments of a dream and a lot of them have been remembered by triggers not something ive always actively remembered. Like wondering why some tree id never seen or smelled before felt so strongly familiar like it was tugging at me that i couldnt focus on anything else like the memory was just there out of reach because it was outside my house and would bloom and perfume the air in the yard. The sensation of sheepskin rug on my barefeet the time i threw those sticky hand toys up onto the underside of a steel carport with my friends since they were in the lolly bag of the borthday party we were at. The smell of sunscreen the sensation of my hair being brushed the watermelon shampoo that i loved but turned me off watermelon for over a decade and my brain still registers it as non food lol.wearing this blue wrinkly donut brimmed hat with all my haircon top through the hole so my mother vould shampoo my hair and wash it without soapy water getting in my eyes the fear of the creepy crawly that cleaned the pool. Being told id be sucked down the drain if i dodnt get out of the bath before the water ran out and it made that horrendous pits of hell noise. So many small things that don't really have much substance at all but the vivid sensations or feelings are whats strong. I don't understand why this is still happening in 2024. I think barry's disappearance is a result of himself and Eobard running back in time and Eobard killing barry's mom, which create a new timeline. In this timeline, Eobard has to create the flash earlier if he want to go back to his time. So if the flash is created earlier, the event from 2024 aren't suppose to happen earlier too, 2020 or 2021 for example ?
this doesnt make sense but correct me if im wrong. this newspaper article isnt from this timeline. its from the original timeline when flash was created in 2020 the one which the show doesnt show. when rverse flash killed barrys mom the timeline changed and flash was created by him in 2013 7 years before he was supposed to becom the flash. the article is from that original timeline in which the flash and reverse flash fought and when flash " disaperred" in 2024 he actually went woth reverse flash back to stop him from killing his mom. thus this newpaper article, the flash who tried to stop revrse flash and rverse flash are timeline remenats. so is nora also a time remenat because this is not the futurr of the current timeline
So is Barry ever going ask anyone from the future, specifically his future, not how to prevent it, not to know the specific time it started but just to know WHY that battle with Thawne out of all the others caused him to disappear “forever”? Now in the unaltered timeline it was because Thawne figured out Barry’s identity and went back in time to kill him as a child. (Adaptation but regardless) But in this timeline Thawne has known Barry for a really long time personally outside of him being the Flash, so if the reason for the Crisis was because Thawne figured out who he was. What’s the reasoning for THIS timeline where Barry will disappear in the Crisis? Any theory’s, or guesses? By the way if any of you are curious as to how I know Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom (I know but sue me) is the catalyst for the Crisis. The bits and pieces we are able to read (if you pause) through each season 1 to current , piece together who is there, the damage, the time etc etc.
This the only event which Barry can't prevent no matter what he does. Reverse flash will kill his mom and hence Barry disappears because of that. So this future will happen as long as the flash exists no matter what
Vacivity Gaming So you could say it’s a “fixed point”, in which case what would happen if as unlikely or as we saw in regards to Flashpoint (CW version anyway) likely as it seems if Nora found a way to prevent it from ever happening in the first place? She wouldn’t just be preventing Barry’s life with Henry’s life in prison, or living with Joe, and Iris, or meeting Caitlin, Cisco, and an marooned Eobard Thawne who helped him become the Flash, she would also prevent the after effects of Flashpoints erasure from the timeline as well. In other words if/when she finds a way to stop the Crisis happening all together, she’s just going to be putting herself in a very extreme version of “like father like daughter” scenario, and that’s only if she’s lucky. I really hope Thawne shows back up meets Nora, pieces together what she’s really trying to do and we get a “you really are Barry’s daughter” kind of line from him. “The you I know from the future, he’s not THIS stupid.”

Now, it's not just about the Reverse-Flash, but also about the Anti-Monitor...Providing it's not the writers thinking that no one is paying attention (which could be possible, considering the by line was not even saying "Iris West-Allen" at the beginning of Season 1), it must mean something. It means that no matter what changes in the present, his disappearing can't be avoided, no matter what he does. Even if he manages to neutralize RF, even if he beats the Anti-Monitor before hand, even if any of this crisis' protagonists dies or disappears, even if the timeline changes... There will always be a reason causing him to vanish. It doesn't matter what leads to it. The Flash vanishes in Crisis is a fixed point in time. As long as he is a Speedster, he'll vanish on the 25th of April 2024. That's why Eobard was using this article to check that Barry became the Flash. The only way to avoid him disappearing is for Barry to lose access to the Speed Force. For him not to be The Flash. But he will never do that. Because he would never take the risk of anyone suffering just because he stopped being The Flash to save his own life. So he will disappear, no matter the circonstances. And he can't know WHY, because the WHY doesn't matter. It will change every time the Timeline is changed. At least, that's my theory.
