I actually found Zoom to be pretty scary in this scene. The crazed look on Jay's face really shows his obsession with stealing speed and becoming the fastest alive, even if that means taking another speedster. Teddy Sears nailed it.
I love how Teddy Sears hadn’t played Zoom in 3 years at this point and had only a couple of seconds of screen time, yet felt exactly like how Zoom should be at that point in time. It’s as if they filmed this while they filmed Season 2.
He did notice that he wants Nora speed so he can get faster but XS likes her speed zoom know who that guy is he still the some Barry Allen but he a lot faster than zoom savitar and reverse flash flash a lot faster then him so that he couldn’t catch up so zoom knows too much so he get to go again.

Not exactly they can't go as fast when they're in normal clothes due to the air resistance, unless they want to become barbeque... Also zoom was on speedster steroids and had just absorbed past Barry's speed a few minute prior

That's literally how it works, steal a speedsters speed and you become a faster speedster...

Knightfall182 I think you’re looking at it wrong. It’s true, Zoom was creepy from the begging. Before we knew who he was he was this monster with demonic claws and a voics that wasnt human. No actor could’ve matched zoom on the outside. Seeing Teddy play zoom was great because we knew teddy as this kind hero and when he was zoom he took a complete 180, if you go back and watch some scenes you’ll see he pulled it off pretty well. In his scenes he always seemed creepy and like something was really messed up with him, I think teddy pulled it off

This episode was fantastic, however I cant't help but believe that they opened a window for a Zoom return in the future because of how they handled this. I wish we saw new scenes of Savitar, though. Hopefully we will in the future although I won't hold my breath.
nopo, the time wrath simpely placed him back in the timeline. But zoom was pretty smart, so maybe he escaped from it and is now running true time like reverse flash in legends

yeah I get what you mean and if barry and nora had their suit, zoom would be I don't 1, 2, or 3 miles away from them. And zoom would not chase them into the time traveling.
Seeing Zoom brings back memories of Season 2. I remember when speculation was running wild about Zoom's identity (Earth-2 Wells, Earth-1 and Earth-2 Hunter Zolomon, Henry Allen, Earth-2 Wally West) Season 2 was a great time for the Flash. All the other seasons have been great, but Season 2 was when Flash started to take its first risks and all of the great world-building: 1. opened up the multiverse and alternate Earths 2. Grodd finding Gorilla City 3. Barry "meeting" the Speedforce for the 1st time 4. Vibe AND Killer Frost learning about their powers 5. introducing Wally West AND Supergirl's Earth 6. beginning the fun tradition of Tom Cavanagh playing alternate Wells 7. Finally Henry Allen was declared innocent! 8. Flashpoint (I know Season 3 may have been a letdown, but the hype was still real back then) 9. Famous Barry disappearing scene from Crisis, was shown in the finale 10. Killer Shark! 11. and thankfully, we saw the return of Reverse Flash Season 2 was kind of underrated, I think it did amazing things for expanding the world of the Flash!
I feel like they are setting this up for something in the future! Zoom got tackled by time wraith. And landed somewhere in time. Because they all were running through the speed force in time. Just a theory

Eobard Thawne it couldn’t have killed him or turned him into the black flash, not yet. That would’ve screwed the timeline even more, which could actually be a future plot.
Man would’ve liked to see more of zoom but still a great episode altogether. Also he shouldn’t have caught up to Barry like that but I’ll excuse it for how amazing that scene was.
@@calmsquirrel7124 We all know that the series has a lot of script holes and is very poorly written, but the suits thing is explained since season 1, every suit they make for barry is so he can increase his speed, savitar also explains that his armor is so he can go the speeds he goes and without it his own body would burn out.
I think the only reason zoom was able to catch up to present day Barry is because Barry wasn’t wearing his suit, thus preventing him from running as fast as usual. His clothes and shoes would just burn off :P or, maybe, just plot hole ._.
To everyone confused yes Barry is faster than zoom but he slowed down because of Nora and they were not there to fight otherwise time would have changed
Barry's heroic instinct and father instinct in the same scene, it's just the best ! he positioned himself in front of Nora to protect her and when Zoom considered Nora, Barry put his arm in front of her immediately. in his eyes, you can see "DON'T TOUCH HER".
My only complaint about this episode is the I wish that zoom was used more he’s one of my favourite villains on the shows and wanted to get more of him
For those reading I would also like to point out that if zoom does retain his memories then that incident will play a part of something bigger in the future.
Zoom is way smarter to be tricked by another flash but not aware of his surroundings in order to notice a time wraith... Teddy Sears did amazing... please come back!
I feel like zoom is going to return because it looked like when the time wraith pushed him, he was pushed into a different time. Hopefully he does return because he is my favorite character in the whole show!⚡️
What is really surprising is that zoom was still able to keep up with Barry even though it was stated that in season four he was the fastest of all speedsters.
Sam Lung I had this convo with my friend 2 years ago and we both came to the conclusion that Wells S1 is faster. Barry couldn’t even catch up in S1 & didn’t really defeat him. Technically we haven’t really seen Reverse Flash’s true power.
This is my theory: When Zoom got grabbed by the time wrath, he got thrown back into his original time. He could deduct that the Barry he saw was Barry from the future, which is why he was so scared of Barry even after stealing his speed, and why Zoom also figured out that Star labs was trying to restore his speed just by looking at the lightning
Even if it is a time remnant it doesn’t matter. If one of Zooms time remnants just disappeared he would know something is wrong and it would alter the timeline.
Anyone else notice that in the lab, when Barry is keeping Nora behind him, it’s almost like she’s trying to hide close to him. She’s probably terrified of zoom and is just trying to keep close to her dad for both comfort and protection
I remember when I found out that Zoom was coming back in this episode, I'll be honest this isn't what I was expecting but I won't deny that this scene was pretty good
pfff between that joke of a creative team, grant catching covid and wanting to leave the series before season 10, the shitty cgi especially zoom mask, no cisco, all main villains losing in 30 sec against main NPC's and also acting dumb like these weren't nothing but mere remnants. Season 9 was a joke worst than any season of the Flash, the writing make no sense, the logic left the speedforce, To me the worst fights were ZOOM and SAVITAR they got disrespected to the max.

Can we talk about Barry backing into Nora and protecting her when Zoom showed up? It’s such a quick sequence but it just shows that Barry is the best protective father ❤

Thawne killed Nora Allen, Zolomon killed Henry Allen, Savitar attempted to kill Iris West-Allen and Heart killed Jay Garrick in front of Bart.
For everyone saying they shouldn't have been able to time travel if they were holding back, Mach 1 is the speed needed for time travel, which isnt that fast. This was stated in Season 1.
0:45 zoom probably defeated the 1 time wraith, thats why there were 2 of them at the end of season 2 to fight him - it´s an interesting hidden detail i think.
Rewatching this after the latest ep and I gotta wonder what the hell happened to Zoom's mask in the end!?? It still looked great here but in the final episode it looked like crap.
I freaked that that Zoom was back and I was hyped. My best scene was the speedster chase between Barry, Nora, and Zoom. I wish it can happen again some day.
Guys Zoom was not faster than Barry here. Barry had to hold back because: 1) No suit = Potential Savitar-like Pizza-ing 2) He had to hold back to protect Nora (because he beat Zoom in a 1v1 fight in S2, so he was obviously much faster than Zoom here)

I think the time wraith took the version away who ran after them and then the speed force restored the right version back into the time it was supposed to be. By right version i mean the zoom who didnt experience nora and barry .

Zoom should definately make a comeback. This is one of those shows where the old villains could come back and do another cycle and I wouldn't mind. Hell, Reverse flash is and thats amazing, but I could use some more zoom in my life.
