Thank you for watching THE FLASH with us after all these years, and thank you to the Arrowverse for teaching us all to DARE TO DEFY! Raw Rider Patrons can watch the Full Length Reaction HERE: blindwavellc.com/the-flash-9x13-full/
Despite the _very_ low lows towards the end (IMO), the Arrowverse had some incredibly high highs too, often improved by watching with Blind Wave. Cheers guys, s'been a trip :).
i stayed just because i wanted a good fighting scene on the night hes mother died but i guess its not gonna happen 💀 they litterally just added the old footage from past seasons
@@evad1834 They had no choice. The actor who played child Barry is no longer with us so they couldn’t reshoot the scene. Green screening Grant in and adding things before and after was the best they could do. I honestly loved that episode. It was beautiful giving Barry that one last breath of closure he’s been looking for his whole life. Him forgiving Thawne and even thanking him for it was just the icing on the cake. Getting to see Matt Letscher again was the final thing that really brought it all together for me.
I'd like to personally thank Eric and Aaron for having dedicated so much of their lives to this show. Moreover being so great to and for the fans. I found Blindwave because of the Flash and that alone made this show's existence worth it! Thank you for all of your reactions, energy, effort and love and if you guys ever see this, know that love is reciprocated, you guys made the bad episodes worth it and the best episodes better!
The way that Eddie runs is somehow cooler and scarier than at least 75% of the arrowverse’s villains. P.S. The fact that Savitar goes directly after Nora is terrifying.
And so the Arrowverse comes to a close. Thank you for being with us on this fun ride. Keep riding the lightning, Grant Gustin. You’ll always be our Flash.
This finale is the perfect explanation of what happened to this show. If the focus would be on Barry, the villains, it would be amazing. But instead, the writer had to push boring characters like Cecile or Allegra, give them powers and treat them as more powerful than Flash or even Superman (and possibly every other being in the omniverse), but all they do is make movements with their arms. Same thing in this episode. If it would be Barry (and even Nora or Bart or Jay Garrick) vs Legion of Super Speedsters, it would be an amazing finish of this series. The past, the present and the future of The Flash Legacy vs The Negative Speed Force. But no, let's make Cecile, Allegra and Khione (or Team D-Class superheroes) squash Godspeed, Zoom and Reverse Flash instead But seriously, why whenever Allegra and Chester are kissing, we have to see it in slow-motion, for like half a minute per kiss, like it's something more importand and something we want to see more than everything else? It's not the first time they did this. Is it some wet dream of writers?
I would also add Kid Flash, Jessie Quick, Cisco ... Like it was in the Supergirl finale, where Wynn appeared, Mon El ... The most terrible finale of the flash.
what did you expect? have you seen who are the writers? most of them have no experience or their experience is writing in other cw teen/ romance drama. they never gave a fuck about superheroes thats why they spend more time in pointless drama and romance, they refuse or dont know how to write anything else.
The only one that made sense was Nora and Khione, khione because she was a goddess but i was confused since zoom has artifical lighning and not natural, but could be Eddie gave him the real deal and that's the reason khione could absorb it. Tho I wish they made it look cooler with more people helping. Like imagine the arrowverse heroes coming back to help, would be epic. But yeah they should have started the fight last episode.
I was disappointed at first too but then I thought about it. They know these villains and their weaknesses. Plus the team is kinda overpowered with Barry being a paragon & speedforce avatar, Allegra going superviolet, Cecile becoming one of the most powerful metas & Kione basically a goddess. The big bad speedsters didn't really stand a chance. Regardless the writing didn't really do justice to explain that
This is crazy. This is how Blind Wave started for me in late 2015 on the original BW Channel. It's so wild to me how much has changed not only in my own life but for the whole Blind Wave crew since then. Calvin wasn't on the channel yet, and even Shane wasn't really on a lot. It was just Eric and Aaron in Eric's basement before The Great Basement Flood. So many good memories. Thank you guys.
Things I wanted in the finale: Bart Vs godspeed, jay Vs zoom, Nora Vs thawne, Wally vs savitar, all with actual fight scenes and the villains interacting with Barry, Barry making Gideon, Cisco returning
They wanted to bring Bart back, but Jordan Fisher was unavailable. And Carlos Valdes really, really wanted to return as Cisco one last time, but his work schedule with his starring role on that hulu show made that impossible.
I can’t believe that it’s over. I stopped hardcore watching around season 6, but I kept up through you guys. Thank you for being on this journey with me, I’ve grown up with this show and with you guys. I started watching my sophomore year of high school and I graduated college three weeks ago. crazy. cheers to the future
Same but she was one of the writers for the show so she decided to make her own character a main and more screen time and focus more on her than basically Barry which was so stupid cause no one likes her
They had to give everyone powers cuz the writers lost touch with the point of the show. They gave everyone powers to the point where it heavily overshadowed the Flash.
@@slatercarpenter6090 I definitely thought that Singh was going to show up in the finale with powers since he was hit by lightning in the past when Barry beat Joebalt Blue. I also thought they were foreshadowing it with the metahuman argument between him and Kramer
@@orion_starchaser he joined the flash in season 4 which is when the show starting slipping, and took over full control in season 6, which was when the show officially went in the toilet.
Genuinely the worst episode and series finale I've ever seen in my life, Eric Wallace and whoever else in the writing department that worked on this episode should feel ashamed of themselves and seek a new career path.
“Idk if the team can beat them! They’re the big bads of entire series!” - *Aaron* and then Reverse Flash, Zoom, Savitar, and Godspeed get beaten SUPER easily by the underpowered OCs right after. It was very disappointing but all the Barry stuff was nice!
it was actually bad that reverse flash can react and ran out lmao but allegra makes a hit and also ceccile reacting to god speed lol additionally savitar was faster than barry but not xs cause he couldve reacted to speedster like s3
the show has had many peaks and valleys and underwent a lot of turbulence along the way, but I'm grateful to have experienced the show and watched your reactions as well. Also, if there was ever one constant in the Arrowverse, it was Blake Neely's kick-ass music for the different shows, It never faltered. But seriously, thank you to the crew for covering such a big part of my childhood and early adulthood with constant enthusiasm!
This episode wasn’t particularly emotional for me but after it finished, I balled my eyes out for about 8-10 minutes last night… for the past 11 years, this thing that had always been here for me, and now it’s just gone and there will NEVER again be a new episode😢 The end of a long series always hits me hard but this was different… even now, the following day, I’m still on the verge of tears just thinking about this… for over a decade, there has ALWAYS been a new episode to look forward to 😢😢😢
I really feel like they should have had Eddie’s arc be either the whole season or half the season. The ending of Barry being able to talk Eddie back to doing the right thing works on a conceptual and character level, but it feels rushed in its execution in an episode that was clearly just needing it to happen because it was trying to get to the finish line. The story and the dynamics should have gotten more time to breath in order to reach that ending organically. And honestly Rick Cosnett has been quite the highlight of this season.
THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE WITH US SINCE season 2 after every episode of the flash I’ve ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO BLINDWAVES reactions❤THIS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE SAME WITHOUT YOU❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite shows with my favorite reactors. I guess all good things do eventually have to come too an end. Found this channel through The Flash and haven’t looked back since. Thank you Blind Wave for the awesome reactions on The Flash over the years. Sad it’s over but grateful too be apart of it ⚡️
Never been here so early! Looking forward to seeing your thoughts. Thank you for all these reactions and continuing through all the ups and downs of the show!
it was an ok finale the battle with the villains was rushed but i enjoyed seeing Joe and Caitlin back again i liked Barry and iris scenes at the hospital really wished Cisco was there for one last time but I’ll really miss the show and grant gustin as the flash thank you guys for covering the show and the arrowverse for 8 years I will miss it a lot and the reactions!
well, using talk to win is fine, they always does that, but how Zoom, Godspeed, Thawne and savitar become a loser, Team flash can deal with them easily?? WTF. Also I really thought that chunk is dead, I was like”oh great, that is not a traditional happy ending” . End up, you know how it go. Really want to see barry solo those speedsters. Anyways, The flash is my childhood, I am glad I watch this show.
Watched the Arrowverse since the beginning after Smallville ended and loved it, The Flash became my favourite and I loved the first couple of seasons, the crossovers were proper events. Sad but content that it’s all over. I was happy to experience most of it with you guys!
To think that at one point I couldn't accept anyone playing Green Arrow other than Justin Hartley, but now the character is synonymous with Stephen Amell in my mind, as is Grant Gustin with Barry Allen. Crazy.
Only in another earth would this be better than Lost, GoT or any other tv show finale. Maybe an earth where cecile get's killed three seasons ago, and khione, chillblane, alegra and chuck never happened. Barry didn't talk to his main opponent, all the villains he barely won were defeated by side kicks in the most sad way possible, there is no narrative being built, powers come and go when the writers need it and the new speedster for the last 2 hours is who barry fights. Jon snow would have to personally talk to the night king and convince him to march back to the north and rebuild the wall for both to be near each other. (Sorry, i'm just so F mad with this finale)
@@cruzefx3652 Actually talking to main opponent was great in this case. Was terrible with Mirror Mistress, or whoever that was, but makes sense here. And still, more villains were defeated in a battle so this argument makes no sense. Have to agree with other things. D-Class superheroes that are treated like most powerful being in the omniverse squashing Zoom, Reverse Flash and Godspeed was terrible.
Thanks for the constant support over the show and franchise! Loved your speedster skits in season 2 and the cameo of you guys in legends. Hope this channel grows faster than the speed of this show, its been fun Flash, enjoy your marathon, we're done viewing it.
So in regards to the villain pairings for the final fights: Zoom (Hunter) tormented Caitlyn Godspeed (Austin) had that brief connection to Cecile Savitar is literally a version of Nora’s dad Well’s R-Flash is the face of Nash and has that connection to Allegra So overall the pairings made sense but I wish they showed up in Part 3 and caused chaos that they fix in part 4 My preferred final fight line-up would have been: Bart vs Godspeed (his rival) Jay vs Zoom (payback) Wally vs Savitar (payback) Nora vs R-Flash (payback for the lost Nora) Wally was really gonna miss his niece being born? Bonus points if they brought back Jesse Quick to help even up the fights Edited for my preferred fight lineup
Definitely my top 3 moments from the series would be; -the closing of the loop from s9 where Barry becomes the flash that tells his past self to not get involved in saving his mom…. -Barry finally realizing Savitar is himself and then confronting himself and the line “You remember when u were me” is etched in my brain -the last one would be the reveal that Wells was reverse flash and he stands up in the time vault and shows he’s not paralyzed
Although the show had a MASSIVE decline in quality throughout the years, it's still sad to see it go. I found Blind Wave through their reactions to this show and it's a show that I grew up with all through the end of middle school and throughout high school and will always be dear to me, especially the first 3 seasons.
I can't believe it's over. It's really been a wonderful past decade, and I've loved watching your reactions to the arrowverse. I'm really gonna miss this show, it made me cry a lot in the finale. The arrowverse is a huge part of my life, and your reactions are a huge part of experiencing the arrowverse for me. Thank you Flash team, and thank you Blind Wave. 💜
I havent wayched since arrow ended. Just stopped in to show my appreciation for blindwaves CW content. That chunk of time will always hold a place in my heart regardless of if I ever catch up on the rest of the shows. A truly unique era of television I doubt we will ever see again. Made even more special by blindwaves reaction to it for the last near decade.
This show is the reason I started watching Blind Wave, I found it around the start of Season 2 and been a fan of the channel ever since. Its hard to believe that the show is finally coming to an end.
I started watching Blind Wave because of this show, my boy The Flash. The journey through The Arrowverse with the Blind Wave has come to an end, and I'll miss watching these shows with you guys because after watching each episode I used to wonder how Eric and Aaron would react to this, can't wait to see their reactions. That era was the best for all superhero fans, I'll miss those days. No one can replace Grant Gustin as The Flash, he gets everything right about this character.
@@robertrogers074 doesn’t make it any less funny. They left his story for some spin-off no one wanted. My friend made a joke that Oliver let him be lost because he wasn’t going to carry on the family name through having kids. I’m like so they let him get lost in time cuz he’s gay? And now that’s my head cannon reason why😂😂😱😜👍🏾
@@robertrogers074 Yeah sometimes it’s all you got with shows. Like the terminator show. It ends in such a place that it’s like 😱😱😱 No actual cannon ending to be found. But that can be better than being given an ending you never really wanted. Like with the Dexter ending redo. Decent season ruined by gotta end it I guess mentality.
@@B-Dad I just happened to rewatch the villains come together scene in the beginning of the episode of the final episode of the flash and thinking this scene was great, then the rest of the episode happened. Being happy for 5 minutes to disappointment for the rest, how did that happen ? I thought to myself, then saw this blind wave review that's why I'm here.
My ONLY gripe with the last few scenes of the flash is that I wish Barry's bolt split off to a 4th bolt too: "I was told that the bolt chose me, that I was meant to be the flash...This time, I'm doing the chosing: Avery Ho, Max Mercury, Jessica Chambers... and Barry Allen. The bolt chose me, but I choose to be me. Who knows what the future will truly hold for any of us, but one thing's for certain...I am, have always been, and will always be... THE FLASH. " (End black screen. Play flash outro music).
You're telling me these villains could be beaten this easily? I give up. In my own head canon, the series finale was the episode where Oliver showed up
It’s so dumb how these big villains of the series were basically just turned into a nameless henchman you could knockout with a punch💀 this finale was horrible
Although Arrow was my favorite from all Arrowverse shows, The Flash was what brought me in. I remember back in 2014 when they showed the trailer for the show, I couldn't believe it was real. Then noticed it was connected to Arrow, that's how it all started for me. I started watching reaction youtubers and came across BlindWave, stuck with you guys ever since. thank you for sticking with these shows from the worse moments to the brightest of days. You guys are the best!!!
As a French who discovered Blind Wave ten years ago with The Flash, I would say thank you very much to all of you, it's been quite a journey and I appreciated every seconds with you guys, plus it's thanks to you that my level in english has increased back in highschool. This final kinda disappoints me but it's ok cuz I had Melanie crying for me, I had Aaron enjoying things for me and I had Eric being dissapointed with me. Thanks to y'all xD !
I hadn't watched since season 6, then I watched the stephen amell episode and this. Its so sad to see how far this show has fallen. Makes me want to go watch seasons 1 and 2. Those were goated. Such amazing tv
I hate how easily the previous big bads got taken out by side cast, the one thing that has stayed consistent since episode 1 is how phenomenal of an actor grant gustin is
Thanks you blind wave for being on this flash journey for all 9 years, I enjoyed your content watching along for all this time, I hope to see more from any of these actors or this channel. With that said, farewell CW flash!
Thanks for your reactions since the beginning. I've always watched the episodes solo, immediately followed by your reactions and analysis. It's been great, hard yo believe 9 years!
You gotta give credit to these guys up here. They crossed the finish line😉of a show with poor quality. I had full intentions on finishing the show but I stopped watching after S8 ep4. Not everyone can watch and finish a bad show for many years but these guys did it!
Man I am at a loss for words honestly. The arrow verse has been apart my routine for so long it’s sooo weird that it’s over. Ugg even after all the ups and downs of all the shows I’m gonna miss the hell out of it
While not every season was perfect, I enjoyed watching The Flash (Saying that as somebody who’s been watching the show since high school). It was a fun ride and I’m kinda sad that it’s gone.
It was...fine. Nice enough endings for the specific characters that we did get in the denouement. We finally got Max Mercury and got Chester as Chunk and got Caitlyn back and got a Wells. Still: no Frost return, no Cisco, no Wally (they had the actor there a few episodes ago: they couldn't film a quick scene of him at the final party?), no Bart, no Julian, no Tina McGee, no Piper, no Gideon, no Force kids, not even a mention of Ralph and Sue or Cecile's eldest daughter [no sign of Jenna for that matter: she doesn't get to meet her niece?], also: didn't Singh have a husband? Whatever happened to him? No one can be bothered to fix the ceiling, no other Arrowverse heroes (Kara, Clark, Jefferson, the Legends...Dreamer and the new Batwoman and Ollie/Spectre [like Wally they had those last three actors right there this season to film something]), no resolution for the Legends of Tomorrow finale...hopefully there'll be tie-in comics to address some of all that. I had indeed forgotten that Joe and Cecile weren't married. Nice live action super hero finales: Agents of SHIELD, Stargirl, Daredevil, Legion... Crossovers I liked: Invasion, Elseworlds, Crisis on Earth X and Crisis on Infinite Earths.
To answer Eric's question the other two speedsters other then Max Mercury chosen at the end is Jess Chambers who is Jesse Quick daughter of Johnny Quick and member of the JSA and Avery Ho who is the Flash of China. We've actually already seen Avery in the show. She was in the episode where Nora and Bart go back in time to 2013. It's had ups and down but it's been one hell of a ride Flash.
I stumbled upon this channel when looking for more arrowverse content a while back, 2016ish. Finding you guys led me to so many cool videos, arrowverse included. Thank you, Blind Wave, for doing what you do ❤ I'm still along for the ride, though I'm sad to see the thing that the one thing I started with has slowly fizzled out. Thank you for reacting to all the Arrowverse, and letting people like me join you.
Towards the end, those last three people Barry threw lightning to, are indeed speedsters from the comics (Eric Wallace mentioned he'll try to bring in Max Mercury but wasn't expecting Avery and Chambers to appear, no complaints ofc) Avery Ho: The Flash Max Mercury (he has many aliases but primarily as Quicksilver) Jess Chambers: Kid Quick
First reactors I ever watched because of the flash and arrow waaaaay back in the day on the old channel, can’t believe I’ve watched you guys react to this for almost 10 years, what a ride
Its been a great run. I first found your channel back in season 2 and been with you ever since. A sad thing about the final is grand had covid and grant confirmed because of this a scene with savitar out of his suit with zoom had to be cancelled
even if this show became a bit weird and cringey at times it did help me through some times in my life and shape my childhood in a way, i am thankful for its existence
Thank you Blind wave for everything. Your reactions have made me laugh, cry and go on an emotional rollercoaster! Your reactions are one of the best channels on RU-vid. I love how in touch you can be with the characters and be so connected with the show. Flash had its ups and downs but overall I have loved it. As for the finale, yes the fights were underwhelming and somewhat boring but the finale had a lot of good moments. If I could change only one thing, I would get rid of the actions scenes and have rather just watched an extra 20 minutes of just old villains just talking. Maybe even fight each other. I could have asked for way more but I'm happy with what we got. Love you Blind wave Ill be watching forever!
I thought it was obvious that she was using her telekinesis on herself. She leveled up and instead of moving objects, she moved herself through space to be akin to flying
Can’t Believe It’s Already Been Half A Year Since This Show Ended This Was My Childhood I Remember Watching This Show Since I Was A Little Kid At Around 6 Or 7 & Now I’m About To Enter College Soon And Explore My Life, Grant Gustin Will Always Be THE One And ONLY Flash For Me Forever It’s Been One Hell Of A Run 👏🏾🙏🏾⚡️❤☺️🥰👋🏾🙏🏾 Thx For Reading This I Appreciate It A LOT! And I Hope U Have A Good Day Whenever & Wherever You’re Reading This 😊
Three things: 1) The dinosaur book was something Nora read to Barry as a kid I think. 2) Where Barry gives out 3 lightning bolts in the final scene, if you weren't watching closely, he actually went out to Feris Air Field, which is where Barry, Caitling, Cisco and the original Wells/Thawne testing to see how fast Barry could run. 3) The three soon to be hereos who got powers. We did see Avery in the Flash, but we didn't see the other two. Avery was in an episode where Bart and Nora went into a certain timeline which was in Barry's current timeline, they bumped into Avery, and Bart had goo goo eyes for her, and Bart broke time travel rules and told Avery they were from the future. Avery Ho (Flash Vol 5 #3) is one of the Flashs in the comic book universe, as are the other two. Max Mercury what I heard was Eric Wallace wanted to change Max a little and have him as native american, but made him a little older. The Jess Chambers is actually the newest edition to The Flash verse in the comics. Hope that clarifies some stuff for you guys. I'm also really sad to see the CW Arrowverse finish. It's kinda sad, that after next year it's possible there may be no DC superhero tv shows left on tv. We've lost Flash now. But also not on CW network, we've also lost titans, Doom Patrol as well. But on the CW network there is questions over whether Gotham Knights or Superman & Lois will be renewed if either. But the DC tv shows I grew up on and some were axed well beyond their time and I'm sure some ran too long. But what I grew up on in order was Wonder Woman (Linda Carter) and Batman (Adam West and Burt Ward), no I'm not that old but in Australia in the 80s we got lots and lots of reruns of those two shows. Lois and Clark then there was Jon Wesley Shipps Flash tv show which was unbelievably very short lived),Then I had Smallville and Birds of Prey (one season only and rushed final episode cos they found out very late they were'n't getting a season 2 so they had to fill in so much into the finale, still a good show, but finale was a bit of a mess but still enjoyable). Then I had the Arrowverse or CW shows in general, in no particular order: Arroow, Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman (should have had at least one moreseason and in the Red Death episode of The Flash I don't know if you noticed there was no explanation how Gotham suyrvived at the end of Batwoman season 1 with potentially a full outbreak of a zombie undead apocalypse), Legends (should have got another season), Stargirl (again another season), Black Lightning. Then Superman & Lois and Naomi which were CW but were originally in the Arrowverse but then they changed that. But then you can add Titans and Doom Patrol which are finished but oin a different network. Also much like Birds of Prey a largelky forgotten series which wasn't CW, but CW did a few years ago buy the rights to it, and it's on their streaming service is Swamp Thing, which had so much promise and much like a few shows should not have been axed after one season but how they could have taken Justice League Dark universe bring a Zatana show in and so on. So much potential. Only show I'm obviously dismissing is PEacemaker but he is more anti-hero then hero. Then I almost forgot the Pennyworth TV series covering Alfred's backstory before he worked for Thomas Wayne, but whether that was cut early I'm not sure. I haven't caught up on all of Titans, Doom Patrol or Pennyworth. But I am hoping Superman & Lois and Gotham Knights both get renewed but I think only one will and possibly neither. But certainly from the 90s onwards of Shipp Flash and Welling Smallville. DC fans and superhero fans have been heavily spoiled. Some shows were not that great some were really fantastic, but I couldn't pick a favourite. But it does look like with all of DC superhero issues with WB and so on, it looks like and I fear we'll have a very very quiet few years of no DC superhero shows for a while, unless they get the Green Lantern tv series off the ground, Oh crap I almost forgot about Krypton tv series again something that should have had at least one more season. But like I said that's an awful lot ot of tv shows from 1990 onwards.
