@@jackboy2413 Yes, but that Batman's name was _Thomas_ Wayne. Michael Keaton would've been prefect for playing that version of Batman; this movie instead looks like it's relying solely on nostalgia bait.

it fully looks like a nostalgia cash in but its a fucking flash movie starring a criminal so absolutely seeing keaton as batman perhaps in the last moments he can do it i certainly take it. even if ill never end up watching the movie, the keaton (and to extent batfleck) clips will be fun. but i do hope they dont take this and run with the concept. otherwise soon theyll announce some dumb batverse movie that features everyone from kilmer to clooney to bale and even some voice clips from conroy himself. that would be just dumb. it was also dumb with spiderman but homecoming and far from home set the bar so low even no way home felt like acceptable. theres a room for taking nods at the past but when it becomes all you can do you know youre fucked.

And yes the whole controversy around him, the shit he has done doesn’t really put him on the likeable list of actors you wanna see. Michael Keaton is basically the only reason that people get hyped for this movie and that’s because nostalgic reasons, I wanna see him too, but I don’t wanna see Ezra.

To be fair, the CGI in the trailer did look bad. And it’s really just the supergirl parts. I’m not one that ever complains about CGI ever, but that definitely caught my notice.

That would be because it is. It doesn't even make sense to have the Batman from Tim Burton's films since it's supposed to be an alternate-timeline film, not an alternate-universe film. There was an alternate Batman in the Flashpoint storyline that the movie is very loosely adapting, but that Batman was _Thomas Wayne;_ in the Flashpoint storyline, Barry changing the timeline accidentally causes Bruce to die in the alley, resulting in Thomas becoming an older, broken Batman. Michael Keaton would've been perfect for portraying that Batman in live-action.

Political reasons why he left. Sad!

Imagine how the theater would've gone "nuts" if they didn't show that scene in the trailer.

This will be a billion dollar movie.

The sad thing is that would work and be a nod to the comics storyline “The return of Barry Allen.” Plus that might get more of the people who aren’t going because of Ezra to see it since at least they would be supposed to hate him while watching the film.

That would've been better, and Keaton would've been perfect for the role of the Flashpoint Thomas Wayne Batman. The main problem would be that Thawne really would've needed to be established beforehand; Thawne and his role in Flashpoint can only really work with Thawne as an already-established nemesis.

He would look similar under the hood, and i think could play the role well edit: very true about Thawne. he hasnt been established yet and could lead to some issues for sure with the current universe

Also, that "Marvel money" will be running out soon; people have been overwhelmingly disappointed with phases 4 and 5 of the DCEU. Also, I know that the only thing left that I was looking forward to was the Thunderbolts movie, and then Marvel ruined it by making it a Suicide Squad ripoff instead of Thunderbolts.
