Adam I used to live in Buckhannon! Thank you for showing it totally awesome. The little church you went to in Sago was built by that little boys father after he was killed. The memorial you saw by it was in remembrance of all children who have passed.
Brings back memories. I was at the 50th anniversary of the Flatwoods event. I had a chance to meet Mrs Kathleen May. My brief discussion with her about the event left me believing that she had really seen something that left an incredible impression with her til she passed a few short years later.
Just chiming in to say how it’s nice to always see a no frills ATW video. No fancy graphics. No fancy editing. No fancy sponsors. Just 30 minute glimpses into Adam’s universe. 👍
You had perfect timing and caught the cars going through town during The Great Race from KY to ME. That was more than just the car show. Pretty cool 👍🏻~~ Pretty country side you drove through today. Of course I am a little biased. I need to explore WV more. My mom was from there and many generations before her.
I can't believe I missed you in my hometown! Morgantown has so much great history if you're ever coming back through I really think you could fill up a whole day checking out all of our neat stuff!
You had an excellent day - thanks for taking us along. Great towns, and how lucky you were to see those classic cars (and always nice to see them driving as well as parked ) ... and of course .... *The Monster* !! That is a great monster museum. The town should be proud of it.
I’ve never had an Stuckey’s pecan log as it’s difficult to find, but I was at the OC Knott’s Berry Farm Ghost Town/Summer Nights and happened to see the Stuckey’s candy line in the candy shops so bought an original Stuckey’s pecan roll which was delicious. Thank you for sharing your road travels. I get to learn a lot of interesting and informative things on your trip!
Karma to Burn was an amazing mostly instrumental rock band from Morgantown, WV. Their founder, Will Mecum, died in 2021 after an accidental fall. Great band. Look them up. RIP Will.
Hey Adam great road trip video thru the towns of West Virginia Virginia and North Carolina..A great time to enjoy, explore and experience a lot..Have a good one..
thanks for visiting our little state of WV Woo...We don't get much attention, and the state is poor...but it's a flashback in time in some ways and glad you got to show everyone the laid back living of WV in a way
My home state!!! Morgantown is my hometown and Buckhannon is where I went to college. So the state was created in 1863 and I believe Buckhannon was founded in 1816.
Love the cross inside the little chapel!❤. That’s so nice! It looked like you were a little reluctant to go in the chapel! I would have been also, just because of the sign “enter at your own risk “!!!
Hello Adam. Thank you for sharing your journey! You definitely covered a lot of area on your way home to Florida. Hopefully you made it home and are resting after that long, quick trip. We enjoyed seeing all the places you went through. Have a great rest of your week! 🤗
Wow Adam The Woo in West Virginia, you are certainly getting around.Great intro that bee making a guest apperance, tell those bees to beehave.Just driving by and stumble apon a classic car show, awesome cars.Safe travels from Universal Jamie.
This was a very cool video. By the time it got to the end, I forgot about the car show at the beginning. So much going on. West Virginia definitely had the best looking rest stop, though that picnic table was roasting in direct sunlight, so I couldn't imagine using that one...if people actually used them :)
Glad they acknowledge Three's Company on that plaque. I don't think there's a Ralph Furley representation on his grave, which (to me) is pretty sad. I mean, Barney Fife is legendary but Furley is the man!
I didn’t see you there at the Great Race, but I was there, too. I hope you realized at some point, that it was not just a local event, but a car rally across several states. Pretty cool it came to Morgantown and that you just happened upon it.
Fun times had by all traveling down the road and that town you stoped at with the car show was great and the car show was awesome but when you showed that shirt at the visitor center I thought how cool is that I hope Adam gets that shirt, well you did how great is that anyway thanks for a fun travel day, now with that I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure wherever it takes you peace ☮️ out ✌️
OMG you were so good I enjoyed this so much!!!! I would have been so bummed if you didn’t get anything to have regarding the monster. Thanks Adam made my night
Sure loved old Don Knots, especially as manager in three's Company with John Ritter.....🎉 what a fun show that was Mr Woo, and the premise for that show was wonderfully thought out....who wouldn't want to shack up with two hot dames! That's magic huh!?.....love those old cars, that beetle was clutch......🎉 wild wonderful, West Virginia! Morgantown rocks, and maybe someday I'll visit there too.............maybe Mr Woo, right?🎉
Barbour County Historical Museum right below Buckhannon and in between Elkins WV, has a museum with two mummified women in it, they came from the Weston Insane Asylum. Cool roadside attraction to visit when heading south.
Jacob the Carpetbagger has been there where the Flatwood’s monster was seen! You didn’t know about it??! Great video! Loving the scenery!!! Stay safe!!
I hope for you to try visit Spain next year. It is a good country, good weather, good food, good culture and nice people. I´m spanish and I know everyone who visits Madrid (the capital) never regrets it. Cheers!
Adam can't believe you missed the Big the Foot museum just about half a block up the street from the Flatwoods Monster museum. Also, on the other side of the metal bridge is the Haunted Haymond House, very cool place with a awesome owners. We spent the night there a few months back and it was very cool, nice little town for sure.
Next time passing through The Mountain State I’d hit up Huntington. It’s a great WV town. From there you can easily go to Point Pleasant for the Mothman.
Glad you came back to WV! You have to come to the WV pumpkin festival in Oct sometime and hit up Blenko glass! They use to make the country music award over there in the 70s! They have glass tours ppl come to every yr! It's 2 mins away from my house!
Them bees didn't want none Adam lol thanks for sharing I love your videos nothing wrong with talking ti yourself it when you answer ioh lol love your videos good times always
When we go on roadtrips to West Virginia,Virginia,N.Carolina,Georgia, S. Carolina,Tennesse,Indiana and Florida we always take the backroads. Have seen many cool things and beautiful scenery! In Florida have seen Skunk Ape Museum with huge skunk ape statue and a huge panther statue that has been there for over 34 years,we also have seen the smallest post office,a very tall vintage pineapple sign and the old store where they sold pineapple food items. We have seen several unique roadside attractions in all the states I mentioned and also beautiful waterfalls, ruins, beautiful old barns and barn quilts, old beautiful bridges, old drive in restaurants and drive in movie theatres, hay bale art especially near Halloween, old tractors, old farms and silos, old murals and ghost signs, covered bridges. Daily Woo if you would like to see some of my photos and where they were taken p.m. me,it might give you ideas for your future roadtrips.I enjoyed watching your video
Reminds me of the rest stop when I was in West Virginia. They were selling West Virginia hot dogs, which are the chili and slaw dogs. I don't know if I stumbled into it, or it always happens there... I have been enjoying that combination of chili and slaw ever since on my hot dogs :)
Adam, my Mom was born in Charleston, West Virginia. What beautiful small towns and buildings! That monster looked cool and creepy! Really enjoyed your video and looking forward to your next vlog. Safe travels.
Unfortunately, families don't picnic at "Welcome Centers" and "Rest Areas" like they used too. 😢 The world is not a safe place anymore, Mr. Woo. It's so sad.
