The first little guy looks so studious, like he is double checking with mom that he is indeed using the latch that she wanted him to illustrate. Good boy! Thanks for the great video.
Can I also recommend Meg’s blog article on this for the written steps for the ‘how to’ do the flipple technique, that’s even more detailed than this vid... (also please excuse that I’m a dude, not a weirdo, honest! Ha ha... some of us guys like to help our gal pals with their research too sometimes! Oh gosh that even sounds weird... I’m leaving now... 😂)
Milk Meg: May I ask how old was the child in this video? My baby is 7 weeks and I would have to use more energy and coordination just to hold her up to make sure she doesn’t fall since my other hand will be use to help position nipple and express milk. Advise how to do this with tiny babies.
Any help for babies who do not open a wide mouth? My baby just suckles on the nipples resulting in a shallow latch. My LC said nothing can be done until she opens her mouth wide. The only option is to keep trying. She is 7 weeks old. What hold should i try?
