Helloo! I just started volleyball, I mean i train it for like 3 months so i'm not so good at it. I have a problem with float serve, I can't punch the ball enough hard to make it go above the net, if I said it correct haha. Can you tell me, how to do float serve properly because I do everything properly, but I think I don't punch it enough hard or what??
Hello! Since I began Volleyball ( about seven years ago ) I have always had problems with my serves. I have learned that the serve doesn't fully rely on the hit, but mostly on the toss. I would have mixed struggles with having my toss too far behind me or too high up. This things can really mess up your serve. So honestly, just try and have a nice high toss and with practice, you'll hopefully master the Floater in no time!
I don't get it. I've watched so many overhand videos and everyone makes it look so easy. I keep practicing and I can't get the power they are getting. I'm doing something wrong. Sooo frustrating!
Make sure your toss is far enough frwrd aNd in front of your hitting side(right or left handed…), and -most of the power to a players serve comes from the body not so much the arm or hand itself…how many times have u watched a skinny lil player hammer a serve over nets? We all have and wondered..whaaa? If u only use arm, it won’t go that far if it even goes over. But if u push that side of ur body frwrd at same time u make contact…you’ll be amazed how much diff it makes. Try it, practice it, and nail down ur toss (as in, could make perfect toss w eyes closed)…precision toss is key. U.need.toss.exactly…where u…need it. Not above ur head. Not too far right or left…etc
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my message! I will definitely keep what you said in mind every time I try overhand serve. You're right about small girls powering their serves. I played with a small 13-year-old girl and she powered her overhand serve. I was amazed when I can barely serve it over the net.
