Welcome to the January edition of the Winter Fluke Series.
I imagine it's very difficult for John Skinner to "top" himself when it comes to fluke fishing - the guy literally wrote the book on it! However, I imagine this August 2022 fluke trip to Block Island with my customers Andy, Steve and Ernesto would come close to one of his best single drifts ever. In one drift alone, he boated a 6, 7 plus and 10 plus pound fluke.
Not to be outdone, every angler on the boat, including yours truly, got at least one big fluke.
