Convair had detachable wings on the 116 and 118 which, in all reality, is probably more practical to store at an airport, drive around, head back to the airport and fly back. It makes more sense than driving around with wings folded back hanging a few feet behind the car/fuselage (carselage?).

We talked about flying cars and one of my friends said one day they will create a flying car im the future and everyone will have one. It will be like living like the cartoon "The Jetsons".
