My pleasue and thanks for watching. Once you fly FPV Drones, you can then fly pretty much anything, like RC Helicopters and RC Planes (everything makes sense to the brain).
This I my first time seeing this channel and I absolutely love it. I love the atmosphere and your personality. Your enthusiasm for something you enjoy absolutely makes this channel
I've always loved this plane. Just getting into the hobby and someone offered me a barely used Zero 800mm for $25 which I couldn’t pass up! Can't wait to get her flying...wish me luck!
Nice video, I like the use of the Go pros. I orginally flew the Airfield/FMS version about 8 years ago. I still have one in my collection. Looks to be the same. Besure to check the CG as I usually fly the maiden flight a little nose heavy.
I have been flying 680 and 560 warbirds, taking off and landing. I'm working my way up to a 1.2mm Corsair I own already but won't fly cause I want something in between. Would this Zero or the 1100mm Zero be an ok stepping stone to the Corsair? Or do I need to be looking at this different and need some other type of trainer plane? Obviously you can see I like warbirds! Thanks Capt!
I used to own the E-Flite Corsair 1.2, and it was one of my very first planes. It is very forgiving & easy to fly because it does not weigh very much and uses a nice small 2200 4S battery or even a 3S battery. The FMS ZERO is more plane than the CORSAIR and it is easy to fly, probably just as easy. If you still need flying practice, just get yourself any HIGH WING plane (like the FMS Ranger or a hundred e-Flite products) and you'll have no stress.
Thanks for the review. I have this one on my short list to buy. It looked like it handled the not-so-good-grass pretty well on the landing. I bet you could not have hit the camera if you were trying to! 🤣
Radiomaster Boxer. Please a tutorial about: How to Setup a Plane glider. With all the mixers it needs. E.g. spoilers>altitude, motor> altitude, aileron> flaps. Would come to 7 channels.
Holy Crap Captain!!! (pardon my French, or yours actually!!!!) next you will be testing a plane large enough for you to actually get into and fly yourself !!!!!!!; great piece of kit, looked smooth / good (as in looks) and geez, what a box !!!!!; now, I wonder if the Inspire 1 flew smoothly, looked good and, well, did it come with a box ??? !!!!!!!
Hi Steve good review and nice looking plane, i saw on one of your drone videos you had a a10 warthog hung up in the garage how about taking that for a spin ? I must have missed that review
In RC Aircraft, if you don't raise the flaps on an "untrimmed" plane then it may fly unexpectedly, thus every RC vid you'll see will most likely have pilots lifting flaps prior to landing gear on a maiden.
STEVE -- Are the Canadian folk more receptive to electrics than hot glow fuel aircraft? We see that you can fly primarily unimpeded (especially in a school yard) in your region.
To fly FUEL RC Craft you would have to go somewhere that does not contain people you could annoy. In my park, anything electric is accepted, but noisy fuel RC Planes or worse, turbine planes, are not. Canada is massive with plenty of open area so people with fuel RC Planes just go to many of the open areas (tons of farm land), or if they want to pay a monthly/yearly fee, they go to a small RC Club that permits fuel.
@CAPTAINDRONE798 thank God lol.. I visit canda once every 5 years or so. Was wondering what happened to.the weather. Always went musky fishing up that way
Cool video! Think it can handle a 4S 5000 or too heavy? I’m on the fence between the 1100 and 1400mm version. That sun 🌞 was out to get you! 😂 If you catch yourself flying into the sun, shut one eye and then switch when you come out so you can see the airplane clearly. 🤣
It depends on the shape of the battery. If too high, it may not fit unless you remove some foam. The plane is easily large enough to carry a 5000, and can be easily balanced.
He Steve, Wow! I can't believe it was zero C there this morning. We got cold last night too but I was still 16 on the west coast. That Zero is super cool. I thought you were going to come out of the sun, just like the zero pilots in WW2. These big planes are so gorgeous and scale. I love them and really want to fly one. You are so lucky to be doing what you love and making money while doing it. It's something I would like to do but I've never done any editing. What is the best and easiest to use editing software? If I sent you an email with some other questions hopefully you might have time to answer. Thanks for another great review.
