The Royole Flexpai is a foldable smartphone you can actually buy right now. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold which was close to release the Flexpai made it to consumer launch. Like the Galaxy Fold however the Flexpai seems like a relatively delicate device.

I can't be certain, but my guess is the do not touch the middle is probably more a warning for when you are unfolding it. I can see the temptation to press the middle with your thumbs for leverage/stability while unfolding.

I still think about the "phones" in Westworld when it comes to folding phones. But maybe a 3 piece display setup would be the way to go. Then you could have glass on each display but come together as one big screen.

Let's give them a credit this is the first generation who knows after 5 years this can be number one 1 flexible smartphone I know everybody is harsh but it's a good product many companies should do that.

Moving parts on a mobile phone, whether it's a slider or a folding phone have always been the Achilles heel. Very prone to break or fail one way or another at some point in time.
