Do not underestimate brazillian football. We have beaten european giants in recent years, and we have more competitive tournaments than many leagues in europe, such as the Copa Libertadores itself when compared to the champions league. Marcelo amd James moving to brazillian giants are not a "disappearence", and is quite high level when compared to saudi and american leagues lol
I totally agree. I watched most of the campeonato brasileiro last season. It was one of the most entertaining leagues I have ever watched. Botafogo bottling a 13 point lead and Santos relegated. And the standard of football is high. One of the best leagues in the world
@@do0mgoi769 no it isnt lmfao. Saudi league is nowhere near the brazilian league in terms of competitiveness and overall quality. Stop lying, The saudi league is shit, even EFL League one is better than that shit league.
Fluminense is a top 5 South American team right now and has the chance of winning the Libertadores (SA's Champions League). Marcelo played his entire youth career and first professional years for the club. Fluminense's coach is also coaching the Seleção, while revolutionizing the style of play through the continent. I'd argue that's a different type of move, he came because of the project and as a gesture of gratitude for the club that revealed him to the world
Marcelo is back at his boyhood club, who currently happen to be in the semi finals of the Copa Libertadores the South American equivalent of the Champions League
Greek here Regarding the moves of James and Marcelo to Olympiakos, the investment had a lot of return for the team due to the number of merchantise they sold of these players. Other than that, James played decently and Marcelo spend more time eating souvlakia than actually playing. He viewed his tine here as "vacation".
Keep in mind that the brazilian league is still the 10th best in the world And and i argue that it's more competitive (as in how powerful the clubs are compared to each other) then all of the europeans leagues except the premier. Marcelo's current team is at the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores
Sadly there's a clear bias as of Main Europe = showing. To call clubs like São Paulo and Fluminense as disappearing is.. honestly offensive. Not only they're great contributors to revealing talents for Europe but they're also teams with a victorious history, even in international ground
is a lot more competitive than even the premier league. How many diferent teams won the league since the 2000s in brazil and in premier.?? Brasil has around 10 diferent winners, premier league only the big 5 (tottenham never won) and the miracle leicester
Why do you have a legend like Marcelo here He didn’t disappear, he did great things for Madrid and for Brazil Legend of this generation and for generations to come as well
Marcelo playing for fluminense is NOT disappearing. His coach is the Brazilian national team's coach. His club is doing well, and he's playing at a high level. Edit: and it's not like the brazilian league is like the chinese and saudi leagues where good players play against bots.
Jose Fonte went to China, terminated his contract ,went to Lille, won Ligue 1 and now is at Braga at 39 playing in the champions league with Joao Moutinho also there.
Saying that going to Brazil is disappearing is a shame tbh. Ignorance at its peak. Quite disappointed. Our league literally beats most European leagues in terms of competitiveness and unpredictability and it serves as a spotlight for countless young promising players.
@@queenzoroark if that was true there wouldn't be so much Brazilian players in the top leagues. I believe it's the most represented nationality in European football, more than any European country.
Here in Brazil there’s a lot of this kind of players. Slimani, Paulinho, Jesé Rodriguez, Luis Suárez, David Luiz, Fernandinho, Lucas Moura, Vidal, Filipe Luis…
Just to add to the video, Hulk won the Brazilian league AND the Cup, also reaching the semifinals of South America's version o the champions league on his first year for Atlético Mineiro, being eliminated with no losses, but because of away goals. To put in context, not a single Brazilian team managed to win a treble and Hulk almost achieved it on his FIRST SEASON at Atlético, leading the team's goal and assists! Almost unbelievable!
@@Account-1536 Athletico and Flamengo in 2019 did it too, also Palmeiras in 2020, but no one has done the legitimate Treble = Brasileirão - Copa do Brasil - Libertadores. There are other teams that managed to win 3 or even 4 trophies on a single year, but the Top 3 competitions is still just a dream.
@@Vizeh I'm not an Atlético-MG fan, Flamengo is my childhood team, but I always give credit to good players and teams. Hulk was almost unstoppable in 2021.
Also on James him and SPFC recently played in the quarters of the Sudamericana (europa for sudamerica) against LDU. He came off the bench made a assist and to bring the game to pens and in those pens well he skied it…. The only person who missed one so therefore knocking São Paulo out
@@queenzoroark being on the bench. Is funny that he is the sub of a guy named Wellington Rato, that's a good player with a funny name, but it's very weird how weak he has being playing since he came back, even more compared to Lucas Moura, that even if he wasn't essential to the win on the first leg of the Copa do Brasil he played very well.
From Slovenia here Iličić recently had a falling out with Maribor's manager, pretty much giving an ultimatum that either one of them will have to leave the club, which i think is pretty unfortunate to hear.
genuinely in tears mate been watching u for so manny years and now your having a child man it’s like time goes by so fast and il always be there through the journey bro and il never stop supporting u, watching your content and I hope everything goes well lad
as a portuguese which part of the youtube content I watch is from brazil, i do go and know some controversies and big signings on the brasileirão so yeah those jamez, lucas, payet and specially Marcelo which sadly watch the injury he made on a libertadores game i do have been accompaning things there and those ghost players who left europe and didnt went to a mls or saudi which gets all the media 😅
Fabregas is managing Como's U19s, I only know this because my mighty club league 2 Gillingham FC faced them in a pre-season friendly where he swiftly retired after seeing the fixture 🤣
Congratulations on your daughter, don’t even worry about uploading since your time off will be well spent. We’ll be here, we’re proud of you. Also peaking of being proud, Carlos Tévez absolutely finessed the CSL and I loved it
Most of last season was depressing as a Huddersfield fan, but one shining light was seeing Duane Holmes get man marked by Marcelo in a mid-season friendly
Hows my man already got a second kid and not even hit 30. This guy's grown up so quick its low-key terrifying. Congratulations though and all the best to you and Sonia with your newest signing
Brazil have much people, for us James and Marcelo not dissapeared but they not very good in Brazil, Marcelo have many injuries and James is bench with São Paulo
I am from Brazil and it's sad to hear you saying that players from Brazil are different than the " angels" players who were born in Europe. At the end of the day, ALL players play for money. If European players don't care about the money and just love to play the game, why do we see all best players playing for the big teams only? Why Cristiano Ronaldo didn't play only for the português team he started? Why Lewandowski is not playing in Poland? Thinking about now, the " angels" born in Europe should be thankful that Brazilians only care about money. Otherwise nobody from Europe could have see Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Marcelo and so on and on.
@@AmeerMaybeliterally the only european league that is competitive is premier league, the others are 2 teams or 3 dominating, in Brazil is almost impossible to predict who is gonna win
Just like every league you have a couple competitive clubs from Rio and a couple from Sao Paulo and the rest are throw aways. It's a decent league sure, definitely not the most competitive 😂
Marcelo, James and Suarez are the big ones for me. i assumed they probably ended up back home and i was right. i only just saw Marcelo in Libertadores and i said to myself, "that dishevel fat guy looks familiar"
Unfortunately, Josip Iličić's performance has taken a downturn this season. He has seen minimal playing time with Maribor, and when he did play, his performance was below par. His only source of goals seemed to be penalties. Regrettably, his situation hasn't improved, and he's causing significant disruptions in the dressing room. To address this, the manager gave an ultimatum to the board: it's either him or Iličić. Consequently, Iličić will be absent from the team and will train separately until he regains the required form. It's sad to witness this decline. His form during the lockdown was exceptional, and his return to Maribor generated much excitement. His presentation at a shopping center drew a large audience, and I, too, was in attendance. Now, nearly a year later, it's clear that his signing has been disastrous. He was expected to be the star player of the Slovenian PrvaLiga, and Maribor fans had hoped for a first place in the league and qualification for European competitions. Regrettably, Maribor has neither won the league nor secured a spot in Europe. And congrats on the baby 👨👩👧👧🎉
tbf i only know teixeira because if his cards from FIfA 19 to FIFA 21, Especially his Hero card in FIFA 21, my favourite striker back then, and i had moments henry and drogba. btw. Congrats on getting your second child
I think europeans are mistaken when it comes to the "Loyalty" of Sudamerican Players, here in sudamerica we have our own leagues and we do not care much about European football, and is not like a way to escape poverty or chase the bag, is simply that when it comes to loyalty or passion for a club,we already have our own back home
you know who wasnt too bad returning from china? paulinho, for exactly one season, wasnt too bad in barcelona, at least i remember his work rate being really good. he came into a shitty squad and made an impact, but after he left ive never heard of him again either
James Rodriguez was an terrible assignement for São Paulo if not the biggest disapointment after Dani Alves. He Lost an penalty against LDU Quito for the Copa Sudamericana and was the biggest responsible for São Paulo’s elimination. I like to joke about him beacouse i support Corinthians that is the biggest rival of São Paulo but it’s bad to see such an talented player like him him in that situation
Bebe Fabio Coentrao and many others... although they dont actually dissappear, some just realise they no longer enjoy football like they used to or it always felt like a chore so they go do whatever makes them satisfied in life
