Would be a great ending. Turns out it was a gas explosion, Jackie apologizes for attacking the random gangsters that had nothing to do with it, Pierce tells Jackie it's okay and that it's his fault the government did not mandate better inspections of apartment buildings. They live happily ever after
You joke, but this would be a legitimately great deconstruction of the genre. Turns out Jackie Chan was the bad guy all along- blinded by pure rage and unable to recognize the senseless destruction he is causing.
God! This trailer is awesome. Jackie never fails & once again right here, he has shown he still has loads of action packs up his sleeve. This is awesome
Actually, he has been making serious movie in Asia in a while. Hollywood typecasted him as a funny kung-fu guy so that's what most western audience know him as. Also, according to many people who worked with him, his English is pretty bad, so it limits what kind of role he can be in a western movie. Hopefully this will show his strength: the strong, silent type. Doesn't have to talk much but gets all the action.
this is the kind of movie ive been waiting for jackie to do since i was a kid, its going to be awesome to see jackie go full savage and see that dark side.
Jackie chan is one of the most talented actors and martial artists in the world, he is one of my best inspirations and this movie is going to prove his talent
Wow. I used to love Chan's movies for his stunts and comedy. First time, I might love this movie for his badass acting. When is this movie out? Take my money.
The fact this is directed by Martin Campbell is very encouraging. His big failure with "The Green Lantern" aside, I think he's a superior action director, with a real appreciation for physical movement. Think about the parkour chase he directed in "Casino Royale" or the swordwork in "The Mask of Zorro." No shaky cam, no excessive CGI, nice wide shots allowing the actors to do their stuff. A pairing with Jackie Chan (albeit older) could be awesome.
That's why Jackie Chan always stars in some of the best action movies. Watch how "Jackie Chan creates action" he talks to the directors about exactly what you just said, wide shots so you see both characters and no spontaneous cuts
