I wondered how you'd be when you hit this, Lunity. I think this is one of the areas where Replicant starts to show its age a little. I still love it to bits and would say for people to play it (even if only to see their reaction to Kaine's language!) but I think things like questing and the walls of text have been refined through the series. This was originally out in 2010 and you can see that Automata had a lot of time to learn what worked and what didn't by its release in 2017. Still, a game being so brave back then to do what it wanted is still a very good thing.
I agree fully, although as amazing as Replicant was with its changes and addons it did areas where it really showed its age. Regardless both Automata and Replicant are fantastic titles. My only gripe in Replicant was to unlock the final ending you needed to collect all the weapons.
I actually enjoyed the reading bit tbh! Asides from the fact that I was trying so hard to understand everything it was making my brain hurt haha, but still very enjoyable and once again very unique! Sometimes I don’t mind when the age shows a little, I feel like it’s a part of the charm in older games that you just don’t see anymore 🥲
wow i REALLY lucked out with that first villager's dream cause i randomly guessed the route correctly on my first try LOL. im just now seeing that you could actually go the wrong way woah
man I'm getting lost in the dialogue TnT the volume of the npcs is perfectly hearable, but compared to luni's voice is just low enough so it doesn't grab my attention TnT... anyway I'm loving the whole series and I can keep replaying stuff until my attention cooperates.
ah the infamous forest lol. it was gonna be a full zone like the desert and the mountain but they ran out of money! in this remake they brought back some of the content and its very good.
