Before the yacht, I would cower in a treehouse and sneak everywhere I went... now, I go spelunking with no armor and go out of my way to 1v5 cannibals. God bless you, Gabe. (Shoutout to the real nibs still playing in 2020)
This is so motivational. Really glad they took these tapes into the game. Bashing skulls while having a recorder taped to a tree is one of the most badass achievements you can get.
Thank god Endnight and you Gabe added this into the game. I play this 24/7 while being in The Forest. Even while exploring caves and building stuff. Its the best thing to soothe your nerves while finding Timmy in a lonely forest filled with death, dark caves and mutants. Sure it kinda kills the atmosphere but it just makes the game much more fun and less depressing. The fact that this regenerates Stamina and Sanity faster is the cherry on top.
You're a legend, Gabe. I bought the Forest solely because I saw you as the composer. I discovered you in the Vagrant and you did a splendid job in both games. That the games themselves are both great must be no coincidence either.
When I popped this in the cassette player in The Forest and heard this for the first time I just started running as fast as I could through the woods. I felt like I *NEEDED* to.
My absolute favorite jam in the Forrest. In my cliff hanging hut in the middle of the night with door locked, sitting on the balcony watching the sea and chilling.
honestly the feeling when im in the caves scared of the 2 mutants and the cannibals cuz they all noticed me then putting in this casette then killin them all with the chainsaw is one of the best feelings ever in this game
The emotions one feels when watching cannibals walk into death traps because you placed a cassette player on a tree with this playing is indescribable. Love it
when i put this in the cassete player for the first time just now, i don't know what i was expecting. it's the first time i played this game myself, and while i know the basic premise it's mostly blind. judging by the general atmosphere of the game i was expecting some creepy or downright disturbing shit like minecraft's '11' but i was definetly not expecting this. I just kinda hung out at my base, i'd just escaped from the cannibal base after being captured not long before and had found another disc on the way, so i figured why not. and let me tell you, after 5 hours of darkness in my room, painstakingly long trips to get wood, excrutiating throataches that i've had for several weeks now and completely deprived of any social interaction except my dog coming into my room once, listening to that disc felt magical. suddenly out of nowhere i felt full of energy again, i felt like i was having fun, and i didn't even feel tired anymore. that sudden burst of energy felt GOOD. thanks gabe, this song goes ridiculously hard.
LOVE LIVE THE 80s! Died playing this song when 40+ of them come for me... I took least 12 of them with me ... then while this track was still playing with a red screen and I can hear them eating my body... AWESOME lol
The addition to the tapes are a necessity to make the game just a little hopeful. Never listening to music for weeks and you find a casset tape and start jammin out. Then you stay to realize that you can do this. You can save your boy
It was a great moment, when I found the walkman and the cassette, and it totally surprised me that there is music on it instead of a recorded speech. And of course, I started playing this when I attacked cannibals to take revenge because of their nightmarish night raid. :D
most forest players: got to get the hell off of this dam island and save my son, me playing the forest: FIND THE BOAT, GET THE CASSET TAPE PLAYER, GET THE CASSETS, mission accomplished.
