We take a trip to Brooklyn New York, the birthplace of American Theme Parks, discuss its groundbreaking, bizarre, and EXTREMELY DANGEROUS history. Taste test the world’s most famous hot dog and then watch as I attempt to hold it down on a nearly 100 year old roller coaster. What the history books have referred to as “America’s Playground”, “Electric Eden”, or by some weirdo in the 1880’s “Sodom By the Sea”

Welcome to NY! I love Coney Island. I have not ridden on Cyclone, but I have been on the Wonder Wheel. It I'd the greatest. It was the inspiration for the Disneyland Mickey Wheel. Built in 1920 . Thanks for mentioning the movie " Brooklyn" . One of my favorites. If you ever comeback to the NYC area, you need to visit Rye Playland in Rye, NY and try the Dragon Coaster. Again, great vlog and thanks for visiting NYC.

Yes! Love Brooklyn! Also, Rye is where the Zoltar scene from the Tom Hanks movie “Big” was filmed. I was hoping that it was at Coney Island because I love that movie but now I know where Rye, New York is 😅 Thank you so much for watching 🙏

My cousin lived blocks away from C I. I was 10 when I went to C I at night. It was the scariest, most fun, no adult supervision experience I ever had...did mention it was 1978🤔😁...Mike

For one I’m surprised u didn’t mention the movie big filmed there 😊 Also fun fact Lucy the elephant is still standing in margate nj. I’m from here and we’re also the home of monopoly, there are actual game pieces on the areas like Marvin gardens and all. If u ever head to south jersey I can always show u around. Cape may and Atlantic City have a lot of history ❤

So Big was actually on my list originally, but with further research I found out that it was actually filmed in Rye, New York! A trip to the Jersey shore is definitely something that I and Kristen have discussed in the past, we just have to make sure we got the right stuff planned before making it happen! 😅 Thank you so much for watching 🙏

Wow! Loved this...interesting history. Feltman is in Green Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn...unfortunately no hotdogs on his mausoleum. Missed opportunity.

It's strange the place reminds me a lot of blackpool pleasure beach in the UK both have at least one 100 year old coaster and both have really old ghost trains but blackpool pleasure beach is older and I believe the first in the world since it was opened in 1930

I still have rib pain from the last time I rode the cyclone in 2005 !!!😆😩😩😩 And come monday morning the poor parks dept workers will prob pick up most of that trash. Til then the rats have their own buffet!! Keep up the great content💪🏆

See here’s the thing, as of today, it is most definitely an amusement park. But considering the amount of heavy filming and immersive of both Luna Park and dreamland back in the early 1900s. I feel like they definitely would be considered theme parks. So i tried my best to uses them interchangeably like i did 🤷‍♂️ Thank you so much for watching 🙏
