Big thanks to Richard for bringing his Skoda down for this one and giving us great insight into what it's been like to live with! Be sure to check him out here: www.bishopaucklanddetailing.co.uk/ Hope you enjoyed the video!
I have the estate version of this gen VRS Fabia, in black. It's my first car, and it's been absolutely reliable so far (it has done approx.165xxx kilometers in its life so far). It's bloody quick, good looking, and cheap to run (both in fuel consumption and maintenance). Everytime I step on the pedal, it manages to put a smile on my face. 10/10 would recommend :)
I also have the estate version registered 2010, had it over two years now and it's been absolutely perfect for that entire time. Even got though 2 Mots perfectly, no advisorys either.
I am the happy owner of a 2015 Fabia RS with only 55 000 kms and I love it so much ❤ It's very rare to see one even here in Czech Republic where I live. Replaced the original radio with brand new touch screen radio, and original rims with 17" Oxigin rims with new tires. Will place a new spoiler very soon...
I had myself one of these back in the days, model year 2012 (black) with IRC2011-champion badges and black trims it was a really nice car, altough it went to factory back for a transmission swap but afterwards it was very pleasant car and quite snappy lil thing! Good work to keep that beauty running and well-conditioned!
Mine from new 07 vrs 1 has been great, no problems, now 2022 at 77k miles, new tyres this month, full wheel refurbish too, replaeement subframe and battery, Cam belt and alternator belt fully servised every year, great runner I love it
Nice, review and Chat. Was lovely to hear an extended conversation with a two time owner of a Fabia VRS. I'm test driving an Octavia vrs and Fabia vrs tomorrow to see which I prefer. Keep up the good work.

I had these an Ibiza cupra version of it, great little car that felt like it had a big na engine in it. Unfortunately it ended up eating itself but luckily I had extended the warranty on it. Only had to pay for new spark plugs
@@FootToPedal it basically scored the cylinder bore, let oil past the oil rings and then stopped the spark plugs from working. Still had to argue my case for warranty to cover it (is it normal for an engine to do this with only 50k on the clock?).
Yeah that should not be happening after 50k miles, bore scoring is never good and often can be down to poor heat management from the engine. Good job you managed to get it fixed though
@@mry82 You are of course correct. One might marvel at the Mk 2 VRs parked in one's driveway with a blown engine as modern art or something. It's quite profound when you really think about it.
