It seems that was only an issue at the start of the chapter when they were figuring out pricing (see $30 lambo) as prices on instruments have generally gotten better + there are a lot of really awesome free ones being given out... Shoes would have A LOT more of an issue, especially if they are licensed. Might be $30 jordans 💀

I think the only thing people should complain about with the cosmetics like shoes is when they replace things like gliders in bundles or when they take up room that skins should be taking up instead. Cosmetics like shoes should be in the game but shouldn’t drive up prices in bundles or take items out of bundles like how instruments do. I also miss when item shops were massive and felt like a catalogue of different items instead of like 5 things you actually care about. Jam tracks and cars take up room in the item shop that feels wasted when the item shops could literally fit every item in the game. There is no reason we are at a point where the item shop SHOULD have 70 skins in at one time (or have every cosmetic in the shop at once, including exclusives, and have a search feature so people can actually get what they want). I will not be buying more land in the metaverse.

Yeah, but it does seem like newer pricing in instrument bundles is more fair than early Chapter 5. I feel the only issue with it is taking up slots that could be for other cosmetics, like gliders, emotes, or wraps

Tried back in chapter 2 but chapter 3 is where I was more consistent. And I love how much they listen and constant updates. I also started gaming where there were no hot fixes or updates to the game. What you bought is what you got. AND I had a blast with it. So grateful for everyone working on this game
There are some truly bad Fortnite players (the ones who would even think about doxxing), but Epic could have avoided some of the “drama” by making things optional. “You can chose the old or new animations, you can also chose the old or new ui”. But that’s the unfortunate part, some people get genuinely hateful towards anything other than whatever season they started in. I’m sure there are some “C1 is peak” players who make others who may also prefer C1 by actually just hating everything that isn’t “OG”. They are definitely wanting something like Remix Chapter 2 to fail, to prove to them that it isn’t as good as their OG Fortnite. There are other games to play if you want, but people just try to grind Fortnite out so much, that they burnout and get bitter, because of their sometimes self inflicted hatred. I rambled way to much
You did such a great video. I started playing Fortnite when ch 2 s 5 began, and since then I only quit for about 1 season in ch 4. Every time I see so many people complain about these things like their lives depend on them, instead of being grateful that there are at least many new updates. My friends started playing this game again in the first season of this chapter, and singe then, I had a blast with Fn, not even caring about those problems anymore. People really need to understand that Fn is just a video game made for having fun.

Save the world players get barley anything live other live service games and then chapter 1 got more updates due to them pulling from save the world as the weapon models were taken from it this saving time. Then also the fact that the trolls would have been more simple and there was no swimming and all so there was less shit to have to adjust for.

6:05 when they said "limited time" they meant it as every item in the current shop, will leave after rotation, and not carry over to the next shop. Opposite to our current shop, where the same shit stays for 2 months.
The biggest issue with some of the fornite community is that they are so attached to the past that it genuinely hurts the future of the game. I get that the older chapters had some of the best seasons of all time, but you cant let their greatness dictate how the future of the game should play out. Fortnite has tried to innovate this entire chapter and personally speaking, I think some of those choices were bad, but people have got to understand that the game would be in a way worse position if it was a carbon copy of what it was 6 to 7 years ago

People say that chapter 2 was the best, for me who started with it, I wanted to play its predecessor, yes exactly, 8 seasons of chapter 2, didn't fill my desire to play some of the first map, everything seemed so much better, skins, map, gameplay, news, I feel like a lot of people just They just like it and that's it, nothing more, without thinking about the problems, as if they ignored it, I just can't, which is a problem too, there were good things in chapter 2, but we can't leave the the real problems aside
tbh, I started playing in the OG season and I loved every update since. I mean look at what they did this Halloween! It felt like a complete new season! The only thing I don’t agree are the new „OG Stiles“ (It sounds stupid as heck), just saying if they advertise it as exclusive and bring it back kinda sucks. Never have been in that situation, but I definitely would be thankful that they are even doing the Stiles despite being such a big game.
I wholeheartedly agree developers or people stating their opinions should not be harassed and that disagreements should be civil. That being said, I don't agree with the take that shoes should be an extra cosmetic in the game. The main reason being that they will be put in character bundles to bump up the price when bundles are supposed to give you all the cosmetics normally put with a character at a decent price. A character, back bling, pickaxe, and maybe a glider and/or contrail should be the only things put in bundles. Like cars, I assume shoes are going to be overpriced. If shoes got into the game, the price range I'd say is reasonable is 200 v-bucks to 500 v-bucks. Instruments are also expensive, a single one ranging from $8-$10 and I avoid buying these at all cost and dislike when they are thrown in bundles. I also hope a lot of good changes happen to the game soon, because the devs messing with things that don't need to be messed with instead of fixing issues is really exhausting. It's been weeks and we've gotten small updates, but no bug fixes. All ranked cosmetics are bugged out and don't work properly in the lobby and in creative maps. They default to bronze despite your chosen rank style. The Iron Man mythics also glitch the cosmetics out. The Corrupted Legends pack that was just in the store also glitched out and now you cannot use the scale bar to change how corrupted you want the skin. A refund of some kind or compensation would be good for that pack considering people haven't been able to properly use them for weeks.

Simple solution: if you don't like something don't buy it or do it, actions speak louder than words I don't like the shoes: don't buy them I don't like BR: don't Play it I don't like the current state of Fortnite: don't play it Once Epic sees the numbers going down, they will finally listen

Tbh I think ignoring is the best option and getting back into the game and getting involved in the community from what I have seen and this isn’t anyone in particular but small channels seem to make it more toxic compared to years earlier the community was a better place and I am not sure if it’s just different times but it’s kinda obvious small content creators kinda make the game a worse place and continue to make it worse but that’s just me

Oh yeah the community is, the amount of times I see people demanding an exclusive style or some kind of compensation becuase a rare item shop cosmetic has returned is baffling, and to make it worse they are actually serious. Epic caused this with Skull and Ghoul Trooper, peope think that if they cry hard enough epic will give them something to feel special.
People would've definitely had a different reaction to this entire chapter had it not been for the roadmap... I'm honestly just wondering if there will be another roadmap leak next year 😭
My take is that most of the changes made in chapter 5 were pointless, unwanted, or just straight up made the game feel worse. You can disagree with me, but i just think that animation changes, movement speed changes, locker UI changes, and removal of cosmetic rarities, were all terrible. Chapter 5 was easily my least favorite chapter simply because the game felt either too realistic, too serious, or too overstuffed with different kinds of cosmetics.

The shoes cosmetic will be part of the Metaverse and the Metaverse is successful and is so good but the shoes cosmetic may not be a thing I interact with however if it is for a new Metaverse mode then yes I will as I will try the mode see how I feel about it if I enjoy or hate it
I dont understand the hate for the game updates. If you dont like them just stop playing the game or wait for it to get better. But i dont understand the way epic is working with collabs. Some collabs havent returned for a long time(aot, resident evil,street fighter etc.) if they dont plan to re release the skins sometime in the future way add them anyway(just my opinion)

I’m sorry ex but the shoe take is kinda shit. Because recently the bundles have contain instruments, which is annoying because I don’t play festival. The issue isn’t really the cosmetic, it the fact that if I want to buy let’s say an icon skin they could have the ability to put it with a bundle And so to get it cheaper I have to probably pay more than I should or be forced to buy an item I don’t care about. Unironically making the cosmetic unavoidable in certain circumstances. I’m hoping this isn’t the concept and this comment ages like cheese but knowing how epic has solid LEGO sets and instruments it’s not making me hopeful. But overall great video other than that.
Yeah, we just have to hope they fairly price it...But I do think sometimes the price is fine, specifically Black Cat's and Spider Woman's Bundles are pretty well priced, even with the instrument as a sort of bonus, if you will. I just hope they don't go overboard with the shoes. Imagine if we get Iron Man jordans in a bundle 😭

For example, the She-Venom and Agony bundle had no instruments, and was priced at 3k vbucks. Thats over priced for what is pretty much two versions of the same skin, but there was no instrument included... its pretty much just based on however fortnite is feeling for how bundles are priced, instruments dont seem to impact it 👍

Idk man the game is just a playable advertisement at this point for so many different reasons. What they did with the multiverse stuff was only to sell cosmetics through guitars, guitars, and legosets. If they really wanted to do that stuff for the playerbase, they would have done so in the respective games that they have the rights to like rocket racing in rocket league and Lego Fortnite in save the world (except not an ad for Lego which overprices their real sets). And one more thing, what does spider woman have anything to do with a guitar? That spot could have easily been used for a glider.
