@excetraz I think Epic leaks stuff on purpose to HypeX and Shiina to produce hype, and people start buying V bucks early since why would they have Creator Codes if they keep leaking there stuff.
All the big well known leakers, are fortnite partners. Even after continuing to leak files. I believe epic is ok with leakers leaking cause it gets them free publicity.. free hype. It's why we have some files that are always incripted. Basically epic says they can go ahead an leak some stuff, but not everything till epics ready for them to leak it. That being said I personally have stopped watching leakers. Iv learned that I like being surprised.. An knowing everything to me, just kills the hype. I think epic should stop letting things be leaked in general. I think less leaks an more surprise in general just brings more natural hype for the game.
@@Monster-6524 We don't really have dataminers that can decrypt everything. They can decrypt some stuff early, but very few things. They need the encryption key to be able to decrypt it
They aren't event leaks, they're datamines. Even then, you don't have to look at the leaks, that is your fault if something gets spoiled and your hype is diminished.
I hope that in the future to roadmap is not a leak but rather a screen that we can go to every chapter and watch as Events are ticked off. They wouldn’t have to completely leak what things are just give big hints.
Well the ch5 s4 battle pass wasn't leaked instead it was shown at D-23 in the ch5 s4 trailer because Fortnite wanted Kevin don't know how to spell his name to show ch5 s4 at D-23
Honestly the roadmap being leaked on purpose is a great move, they get to leak their plans ahead of time and see what sticks and then just change what doesn't work and play it off as "oh it was fake, we weren't planning that feature or in that way."
I’m glad Trunks didn’t get leaked for you but I 100% remember HypeX leaking that Trunks was coming to the game lol but yes surprises are awesome when we don’t see them coming
I feel like condensing C4 to "didn't have much" is one hell of a understatement considering we had literal in game pictures of the S2 BP before launch, plus everything else that got leaked about that season, and Season OG getting leaked early - and there was even pictures of the minmap circulating beforehand
funny thing. leakers got a hold of chapter 2 season 6 a week or 2 early and epic messaged them to just not say anything. this was said on the unvaulted podcast with hypex
8:05 A close friend of mine doesn't use social media so everything this season was a fresh reveal for them, especially seeing their live reaction to S4 in the D23 mode; and it was nice to see and made me consider going cold turkey on looking at leaks as a result of missing that raw reaction and hype they have. As for overall, it's not really that much of a conspiracy that they're doing this given Epic is just that sort of company and they're definitely not the only one that does this either because it's literally a viable marketing tactic.
The roadmap leak definitely was though. I mean like the concept skins seem like real leaks, but the roadmap is just too outlandish for Fortnite to not even care. They didn’t even mention it when it happened
They could also have intentionally leaked the road map to see our option on the possibility of those things being true to see what feedback they get off of the “leaked road map”
Epic likes leaks to a point, as they build hype for the game but having surprises also builds hype. The full year's roadmap being leaked only builds hype when it is first leaked, but then no hype is built throughout the rest of the year when the surprises are actually revealed. the roadmap being leaked didnt benefit epic at all, so i doubt they intentionally did it (Also you acted like Trunks wasnt leaked by an insider months prior)
I definitely think there have been times where they have intentionally leaked stuff, studios in all industries do it all the time. but the roadmap specifically, i have a really hard time thinking its intentional
Also to explain why the Androids had their ingame images leaked early but Trunks and Moff Gideon didnt is simple. Epic left the Android's featured image unencrypted by accident while the others were correctly encrypted. There was no trace of Trunks or Moff Gideon in the files that wasnt encrypted so leakers had no way of leaking them
big leakers are definetly in contact with epic as im pretty sure ive seen shiina or someone talk about epic telling them to keep hush about certain things that they dont want leaked.
I like the leaks for the future item shop so I can save vbucks for a skin or emote I want to get and the new battle pass too but I do get a bit bum out when I know how the lore of that season gonna go literally a week ago the whole storyline for this marvel season got leaked
The Incredibles and Disney Villains were huge suprises at D-23 more specifically the Incredibles because there was tons of hype generated around the Incredibles when they were shown with people loosing their minds because they didn't think the Incredibles would ever be added
I think to a certain extent it’s on purpose. I don’t think the roadmap was leaked on purpose and even stuff like live events since I remember when the hand event got leaked a developer was mad about it. The roadmap basically ruined any hope of surprise with the story since we already basically knew what was gonna happen and for festival it’s hurt a lot of peoples anticipation for future artists. But skins, emotes, battlepasses etc they could care less. It’s basically free advertisement. There are billion dollar company they could obviously do something about it. And at this point leakers are just early forms of news, for other games like dbd, destiny 2, etc you have to actually go out of your way to find leaks and there aren’t as many big leakers since they obviously have less information to go off of since these games thrive off of surprises and anticipation and reveals. But for games like cod and Fortnite leaks are literally handed out like candy with multiple massive leakers, full seasons worth of skins and upcoming bundles, they know how to get people’s money by doing stuff like this.
The biggest leak of all time was that Giant road map of every future season and stuff now we got our final one which chapter 2 og we dunno what’s after that

It's clear to see , " leaks " is just a selling tool , speaking of tools lol, you got some creators That are like " omg!!, an employee went rouge, and leaked the new skins "....... it's like bro , stop already , we aren't stupid . And some of these guys are like " I'm definitely gonna pick that up !!" No , you aren't bro stop it , ..... just buy what you like guys and will use. Don't fall for the sales tactics
I don’t think it’s on purpose, I think it’s just that they simply do not care, they don’t be like other games who try to change everything up after being leaked, they just go with what is planned even if their own workers leak stuff
honestly, it was so close to the actual season that I didn't even bother mentioning it, especially since I really didn't want to talk about every single time a battlepass gets leaked 3 days early, or the key art, or whatever... Just the biggest leaks we've gotten and the ones that I wanted to talk about. This isn't a video about Fortnite's history of leaks as I would've missed A TON beside that👍
I mean lets be honest by the leaks of the androids everyone should've known about trunks because it won't make sense to have just the androids themselves they legit only exist to either get absorbed by cell or fight trunks in the future

It's well known information that leakers work closely with epic and epic tells them what they and can't talk about. Even recently shinna in the comment section of a video "a spider man video" teased a leak he has but can't release the video yet until its closer to the next update which is Tuesday Then again with the road map, epic usually confirms if leaks are real with leakers, but with the road map epic didnt confirm or deny anything with the leakers which made them think it was legitimate. This was written before I watched the entire video so sorry if I bring up points you already made.

Seems like a waste of time since the game constantly gets updated like fn leaks are literally just “this character is coming this week!” Okay cool lol other games leaks are way more detrimental like story leaks or cutscenes fn leaks are just ads for content that’s never more than 2 weeks away
