AFTERBUZZ TV -- Pilot edition, is a weekly "after show" for fans of ABC Family's The Fosters. In this show, host Tara Johnson breaks down the episode in which Lena meets troubled teen Callie and asks her to temporarily move in with her family in the series premiere of this drama about a lesbian couple heading up a multi-ethnic family comprised of a biological son and a few adopted children. There to help Tara is co-host Jeff Masters. Also joining the conversation is special guest Sherri Saum (Lena Foster). It's The Fosters' "Pilot" podcast!

Appreciate Sherri's comment starting at 30:44 about it being an insult to have Stef go back with men for dramatic effect. Finally someone who understands how much we need a show that respects us and not treat a lesbian relationship like a joke or that they are only "gay" because they haven't met the right guy. I've heard that before, espeically when lesbians are beautiful feminine women. Kudos to Sherri for making that comment.

I was instantly sucked into the show. I love how different it is and hopefully it'll be one of those shows that just open the minds of others. It sure seems like it. The family felt so realistic and honest. As someone who always wondered about adoption, they did an amazing job of showing what a multicultural family looks like. Such a great pilot! This seems to be just what I need to keep my mind off of the shows that won't be returning until the fall :)

Oh god yes! I love this show!! Absolutely!! And i agree with most things said in this interview. I often catch myself nodding along with this interview... something i usually don't do because i don't always feel so connected. But with this show, this interview, and this EVERYTHING... i do!!! I've literally saw ep one like 4-5 times and episode two 6 times (around). It is just incredible and i CAN'T WAIT for the upcoming eps. Some might say i'm obsessed but in reality, im just touched :D

I LOVE this show. I wish Teri would've done the interview as well. I loved Sherri's react to the mike and Stef comment cause that is not going to happen, especially after watching the finale. I don't think the writers would do that like Sherri said that would be an insult.

My friend is adopted by two lesbian moms and she has other siblings to that were in foster and that are now adopted as well. And shes the oldest one of the kids. She has mom of Callie's background she was in foster homes because her dad use to beat her and such and her mom left. so i thought i'd share since you asked. :) Thanks would love a respond from you guys :)
