Nope. You need to listen to people in successful relationships. Soo many times I have heard people talk about previous relationships and oftentimes those people aren't even aware of the real reason why it didn't work. Many people mistake the real reason why they broke up as being something irrelevant or small and in reality it wasn't.

It wasn't a shot at Jeanie though. They are all Christians and the Bible tells us in Genesis when we marry, to be fruitful and multiply. That means to have children. Tamera, has children. That was great marriage advice. I love how Tamara gives advices especially when she said, ' when you have an issue, don't run from it, talk about it and face on no matter what'. Such good advice! Communication is a must.
There is also something that is often forgotten or is constantly made that causes a failed marriage, and it is NOT to let anyone become between your marriage. You and your significant other should always come first. It's absolutely crucial to not let anyone, whether it be family or friends get control of your life and your marriage. To do this you have to trust and respect and honor each other. Marriage...well all relationships work on three things Trust, Communication, and Respect. If one is broken or has the slightest doubt then whole thing will eventually come crashing down and the will marriage fail. You cannot be happy or feel safe if you cannot trust, respect, or be able to communicate with the person that you vow to spend the rest of your life with. They may sound simple but when they are strong so is your marriage, and your bond to your partner will only continue to grow.

I'm so excited for Adrienne !!!! But even though I'm not married yet ( I'm only 15 ) I will say this : try to do things that are not repetitive! Always try to do new things , spice things up every once in a while try to do things that you haven't done with each other as a couple ! Examples : ladies if your man likes basketball , probably watch a little bit of NBA with him Fellas , if your woman would like to go see a movie that might seem "girly" if you love her then go with her ! Sometimes in relationships you have to do thing you don't necessarily like ! COMPROMISE IS KEY !

My Pastors make you each pull a credit report on each other in premarital counseling. They definitely believe that Sex, Money, and Infidelity are some of the reasons you Divorce. I love that my Pastors are serious and aren't in a hurry to marry people.

But when your foundation in Christ is strong , Christ is love and understanding that will get you through these difficult times in marriage. We live in this world but Are not of this world as Christians. Our fight isn't with flesh in blood but it's a spiritual fight. This means we will have trials and marrying someone just bcuz you love them isn't going to make your problems go away. You will be able to work as a team to get through these problems and having Christ as your number one will help persevere. How do I know? I am living it.

Her fiance has been married before and the king james version of the bible says if you put your wife away and get another wife, you are an adulterer. You can only have one living spouse. You're considered an adulterer if you're with someone on their second marriage. She has been engaged three times so she should also look into her precious relationships, the reasons why she accepted an engagement, and why the relationship ended.
I'm not making any judgment, I'm telling it like it is. The King James Version of the bible says if you have more than one living spouse or is with someone who does, you're an adulterer. She wants her marriage to be under the covet of God. I have nothing against people who remarry but I personally want my first marriage to be my only marriage.

Pre-marriage counseling is something that I’m planning on doing with my pastor as well. I like how they all gave Adrienne advice on how to have a successful marriage. These are the types of friends that I need. To guide me through marriage a successful marriage. Not friends with toxic marriages. For instance, I would never take advice (as a married women) from a friend that’s single, someone who’s marriage is failing, or someone that’s in a relationship.
Tamera was so right.. My boyfriend and I were having a fight and every little thing he said I had a come back and I started to notice what I was doing and I immediately thought about you and I stop and told him to explain again because I'm listening and my ears are open.
I think that pre-marital counseling is an excellent idea especially if you are not the emotional type. I plan on doing pre-marital counseling before and after marriage. In Adrienne's case, there are concerns about her relationship but if its discreet, all important parties are ok with it and they are truly committed to making it work, then I wish them nothing but blessings. As far as the foundation to a successful marriage, point blank, there is NONE! Marriage is a day by day process because life has curveballs!

when you reach a certain age in life and have experienced certain things in life it does not take forever for you to decide if someone is right for you, being engaged multiple times means nothing because you still didn't make it to the alter so be thankful when you do find the right one, if we as people judge others because of there past relationships all the time then don't forget to look at yourself , if Adrienne is happy then I'm happy for her , you can't be happy for someone else when your not truly happy yourself and I've been happily married for 5 years now marriage is work (anybody can get married but staying married is key)

This is a very serious topic to discuss, and I just want to say that I really believe that counseling is very important before you get married you should need to know your partner even more.
I really like Jeannie's advice, especially regarding the finance. That's not a common discussion amongst engaged or dating couples. So once the honeymoon phase is over and the financial reality takes over, couples are drowning in loss and expections of their financial reality, which begins to affect how they communicate with each other. That's perhaps why many couples who divorce over financial reasons end their marriage, because there were no discussion on the expectations during financial hardships

I like Adrienne, but her story has been very inconsistent... She was interviewed a few weeks ago and said she and Israel were friends for 3 years, then before that on the show she said she didn't met him til recently. Then she seemed weird when she was asked about the questions they asked her in a session of premarital counseling. How can you be friends with a married man for 3 years and then end up engaged about 3 months after he gets divorced?? Were you planning something else in your head? And wasn't she engaged before too?? Like it's so confusing. I don't wish anyone bad luck, but it just seems nasty somehow.
Yes, Adrienne was engaged to her longtime boyfriend for a few months in 2015. Is that a crime? NO. Is that unusual? NO. Adrienne and Israel met on the set of "I'm in love with a church girl" several years ago. He was married and she was in a relationship. They were friends. She never said "oh we only met recently." Israel and his ex-wife had been separated for a while before the divorce was final, which was either at the end of last year or the beginning of this year, NOT 3 months ago. Any romantic relationship that he and his ex had has been over for a while. At least try to get your facts straight. You're making yourself look foolish.

I believe pre-marital counseling is a good thing to do. And I don't see anything wrong with it. Even some people who have been through it, have wound up realizing that they were not meant to be together in a marriage. As well, a broken engagement is far less painful than a broken marriage girl.

Everything stems from something. She's probably still hurt and keeps a wall up because it's so painful. You can hear it in her voice. But she tries to stay strong and be positive. I do think if she lets her wall down and see a therapist she will heal fully and wouldn't have such a hard time on the show when these topics come up. Wishing you the best Loni, but I hope you do let your guard down...at least to a therapist.

I'm concerned about her well being and her guard always seems up when talking about these issues and you can tell she's holding back tears. If she's been married that long ago and can't say a word about her ex husband without tears, it tells me she hasn't healed. This goes beyond not wanting to tell your business to the world. Something's not right. Nothing wrong with therapy, we'd all be better off with it. Nothing but positive words of encouragement!
