I'm happy with my aircooled MSI Suprim X 4090, it's been incredible since launch. Memory temps 5c below core and hotspot only 8-10c max above core. 2895mhz stock core boost clock. I keep it undervolted though at 0.985v though. I like what MSI is doing here
Dude, thanks. Just falling in to the whole pc Subject. And love your vids. Alot more straight down the line for a lad in Yorkshire 👍. Just waiting till I can afford a decent pc to build
Been in the PC subject since I was like 10-11 (Maybe even younger), I'm 17 now, turning 18 this year, and it's been pretty great, it's a lot of interesting stuff. Started watching this guy since last year, and he feels really down-to-consumer level, while still being pretty professional, it's great! Also I live in the South of U.S., and Sweet Tea is pretty common, how good is Yorkshire tea? I know The Spitting Brit glorifies it, Idk, maybe it's worth a try 😂.
@@PcCentricHi bro, do you think ryzen 9 7900x3d or ryzen 7 7800x3d is better for gaming? I want to coordinate one of these processors with the rtx 4090 graphics card
@@امیرحسینملکی-ظ4ثI would say the R7 7800x3D, its only slightly slower than the R9 7950x3D and requires MUCH less setup and tweaking to get it working to its full potential.
@@Hydra_X9K_Music If you want to choose between these two processors, Ryzen 9 7900x3d and Ryzen 7 7800x3d for gaming, which one would you choose? And for what reason?

Nah. I got a used 3080 for 375$ off ebay last year, I play single player games, 1080p or 1440p (if the fps are high enough). I think get what fits, for me that was keeping things affordable.
Well indeed. But that's the same for everyone tho isn't it. Get what fits. No point buying rocket fuel if all you need to do is cycle to the corner store.
What I really appreciate MSI has done to have a three slot back plate on their 3 or more slot cards which was something EVGA was experimenting with on their 40 series cards that never existed to makes them sag less
Love the aesthetics that are coming into the market, it's like the market is growing up and away from the RGB just like we did from the NEON pukefest of the late early 2000's. Don't get me wrong, I love vintage, retro looking stuff, but just not PC parts that were made for pure performance aka gaming etc.
Do you know what, I recently (last month) treated myself to an MSI RTX 4080 suprim X (non super version). And it’s still in warranty so could technically still return it but I’m still really pleased with this card. I was a bit nervous as I knew these new cards were right around the corner. And while they are most certainly nice they don’t make me regret my initial purchase at all
Legitimately nice looking cards. Project Zero makes so much sense. Their monitors are getting really good. Cooling on the handhelds is AWESOME. Always prefer the performance over unnecessary styling. Still love my MSI Laptop, again, because of performance and cooling prioritization
Coolers for an ssd isn't something I want. I dont understand how MSI thinks that that is a good idea. Cases amd mobos are cool, no cables are gonna be a thing in '24 and beyond. Lian li Just threw a Law suit towards MSI now lol
Just think of the interference nightmare this caused on mobos with other components/GPUs etc. Their benefit to me is that they are tucked neatly away against the mobo not sticking out like a stop sign blocking other kit! My Gigabyte Aorus Master mobo has a single aluminium heats ink slab bridging all 5 nvme slots. These cigarette packet sized mini active heatsinks would be a logistical nightmare. 😳
Imo Gpu's just don't have a nice cool looking design on any of them, they either look like they came out of an office computer or look stupid when trying to look gamery.
If that curvy good looking shroud on 4080 super Expert is made of aluminium that's it they nailed it! I think 10 years from now we are going to look back at that card and it's still going to look modern. Timeless design imo.
Msi needs to release it at mrsp 959.... even that imo is way to high. 700 pounds the 4080 should be ..that's acceptable price to me...above 700 ...ie the price of a 65 inch oled 4k smart TV....yeah u joking right...1000 pounds for just a gpu??? Yeah never. I will keep my 3080 till next gen and see if a gpu released by amd that beats 4080 super at 600 to 700 pounds. Hdr is far more immersion than ray tracing ...l never turn ray tracing on. Nvidias fake mrsps...and if u buy 4000 serise how will u feel if nvidia stops dlss4 from working on it like they did already eith dlss3 with my 3080.....funny how fsr from amd works on all gpus eh. You going to pay 1000 pounds plus gor a super overly priced gpu that will be replaced in 12 months? It will devalue 50% in 10 months.
Nvidia sheep: Is it time to get excited about the new batch of Nvidia BS? Dont pay rent for a month, forget your car payment. Do this, and you could afford the RTX 4080 Super DOOPER!
f..k windows and any hardware build around windows. every update to either drivers or windows f..k each other and f,,king my PC. I can't stand falling into the rabbit hole trying to figure out what the fxxk is going on to fix it.
Finally some simple looking but powerful gpus. The "gamer" look gpu are so ugly. Why can't gpu 3rd party manufacturers make a minimalist design pgu like the founders edition?
BABHAHAH I THINK I saw my self in the background filming some content!!!!! CES was amazing, would have been awesome to bump into you. Whenever you get the redux are you going to try and grade cheeze on it? Also isn't it crazy they were able to basically fit the 4070ti super (basically a 4080) into a 2 fan model. I asked, and MSIi is pretty confident there will be zero issues with cooling on it. The expert was a show stealer for me.
Why would MSI make a M.2 drive that wont work in any high end motherboard...all the high end boards have heatsink plates over the M.2 slots...that 5 inch tall heatsink will not fit under the MB plate...
New mobos will need to be designed to accommodate those hall active coolers for sure. Gen 5's will work now under your existing passive plate but under heavy/sustained workloads may need to throttle its speed to manage the heat generation . Personally I don't think the current Gen 5 speed increase are worth the cost/aggregation over a good Gen 4 atm. Real world benefit to most is inperceptible. Commercial application perhaps.....🤷🏻♂️
Love the channel my guy, I was looking into building my first gaming pc using the 4070 Ti super. What motherboards and cpu combos would you recommend? Any help would be appreciated ✌🏼
Can’t believe how long 40 series cards been out I brought 3070 and promised myself wouldn’t buy a card with questionable amount of vram ended up with 4070ti 😂 what the 40 series should’ve been from launch
Honestly ray tracing is still in its infancy, only interested in upgrading from my 1080ti when we can play cyberpunk 70-80fps 4k with full rt and graphics on
No it can't. The most powerful GPU on the market the 4090 can 'barely' manage 60fps on max all/RT in Cyberpunk at 4k. 1080, or 1440 of course diff story. Lots of RU-vid media showing this, go look it up. 4070 not a snowballs chance in hell. Cyberpunk is a RT Everest.
