I'm an advocate for the idea that if Buggy could awaken his Paramecia he'd be able to split anything with his Bara Bara no Mi. With the ability to split an atom at a moments notice, he'd be one of the most hazardous devil fruit users of his era (but would somehow still lose to the Will of P).
I think it comes down to the imagination of the user on some level.. like “Dolfy” and the various ways he uses string. … my point is, as much as I like Buggy, I don’t believe he’s capable of that level of thought. He’s easily duped by people who have doesn’t trust at the promise of treasure.. He’s fortunate for Crocodile and Mihawk being his “underlings”… I don’t think Vegapunk knows how to split atoms in this world.. I like the awakening idea otherwise tho!
York says that she needs the "fusion reactor" to make more Mother Flame. Fusion is much harder to achieve, so I assume vegapunk can figure out fission... But using those terms at all mean they know what atoms are. I would love for buggy to somehow awaken and become op

Because Luffy is no longer a rookie. He is a huge threat to world, even though he had tons of help, 3 "rookie" pirate captains managed to take down 2 Emperors on the same day. People recognise Luffy as the Emperor because Morgans told the whole world of his exploits in Whole Cake Island.

I'm only going to answer the buggy question. I think he could be really powerful. He had the ambition, but it was crushed my someone he cared about. If he could truly move on from that he would not only unlock haki, but more importantly ;the WILL to move without fear. That is true power in one piece. You don't need haki (but it cone with the territory). You don't need a devil fruit. You just need to be willing to advance. As for his devil fruit. If he hasn't already awakened it. I think it could be used to "chop" and float other objects. He might be able to pull off a Jenga Cannon all on his own. He might even be able to extend it to other people.

I always thought that Blackbeard was able to absorb the Quake fruit by essentially becoming darkness itself and absorbing the devil fruit soul into himself. And he can only do this in pitch black because light is his weakness.

It didn't even occur to me that Blackbeard got his devil fruit right around the time Luffy set sail. I HIGHLY theorize that the Darkness Fruit lied in wait until it sensed that the Nika fruit would begin its journey. I believe it wasn't until THAT moment that the Darkness fruit had let itself be found to get to Blackbeard.
I believe that Blackbeard says it in a way meaning that people will never stop dreaming. When someone attains its dream, there are a lot of people still dreaming, still being romantic.

Luffys parentage was disclosed publicly at marineford. BB was crewmates with Ace who def showed luffy's bounty poster to WB, dont you think it's entirely in character for ace to show off his little brothers first bounty poster to all his crew. I wouldnt be surprised if BB knew who he was but forgot when he met luffy in person.

I believe that Blackbeard does indeed want to be Ruler of the World, and for that he wants to first be King of the Pirates, which is why he is searching for the One Piece and trying to create a sovereign nation made of pirates in Hachinosu (do remember that was his plan to use Coby as hostage)
I think Blackbeard's thing is more like instead of remaking the law system he wants to just delete it and make an absolute lawless world where everyone can just go after their dreams without laws setting them back

On the subject of blackbeards, "peoples dreams will never end". Dreams in one piece often are synonymous its want. So you could interpret that statement as people's wants will never end. People will never be satisfied. Luffy disagrees with this as he does not have endless want. He will be satisfied when his "dream" is achieved On the subject of luffy being an emperor. Running through the checklist Territory: Wano, Fishman Island, dressrosa , alabasta Crew: including the grand fleet 5600+ members with 7 divisions. Power: is capable oth throwing down with admirals and emperors alike. Ponegliphs: luffy is the currant front runner for the one piece possessing more road ponegliphs and one of the world's only ponegliph reader. Luffy is more than deserving of the emperor title

The thing about Blackbeard stood out to me, and why the the multiple personality or multiple souls theory is much more possible, is during Blackbeard's initial appearance in the story in mock town. When was having his speech about the era of dreams, after that scene when Luffy, Zoro, and Nami was leaving, Nami referred to Blackbeard as "him", and both Luffy and Zoro corrected her, and referred to Blackberd as "them", implying there are multiple people.
That always gets to me everytime I read it. Neither Luffy or Zoro had observation haki yet. They just knew, from spending a few minutes in his presence, that something was off. And in an indirect way, told us what was off.
I was originally under the impression that BB ate a fruit that then allows you to consume two other fruits. So he tactically waited patiently until he chose which two he wanted to dual wield.

I feel like Kaido's "dream" might be a bit misunderstood. The biggest takeaway i got from his back story was that maybe at one point he wanted to be, or thought he could be Joyboy, but after some time he realized he wasn't. I got the impression that he wanted to be the gatekeep for Joyboy's strength; to make sure that Joyboy wasn't a weakling and had the willpower to "excerpt his dominance." He chose be a ruthless Dictator in Wano to attract Joyboy's proclivity to liberate those that were in desperate need of it, and in turn make sure Joyboy was at least strong enough to defeat "The World's Strongest Creature." Kaido said himself said that he would know if he ever met Joyboy because Joyboy would the only one strong to actually take him down.
21:00 this specific moment has me by the balls because of how luffy and especially zoro reacted in the anime towards him. Zoro specifically said "i'm pretty sure its a they" which could mean a plethora of things like zoro picking up enemy energy ie BB's crew, or the multiple personality or multiple identities just the way BB dignified himself in that scene. it opens up so many doors to what Teach COULD be with that line alone.
I feel like Blackbeard is kind of both. He definitely has a plan considering his plan to lay low and steal the dark dark fruit and also his right hand being Laffite, which we have seen to be a really weird and smart character. But he's into the utter chaos idea if we take into consideration how simple minded his other crew is (I call them simple minded cause of what we have seen them do and also because of their devil fruits being really easy to understand and use). I feel like whatever he chooses to do, the most interesting part is how he sees his own dream and where he finds his enjoyment.

People said Luffy wasn’t really an Emperor when he was first called the fifth emperor but I think he’s more than worthy of that title at this point. I would consider him splitting the sky with Kaido and even clearing it himself when going into gear 5 as the point he could be considered an emperor

If the Shanks vs Mihawk fight flashback happens, I imagine that it would happen during Mihawk's fight with Zoro with Mihawk remembering his fights against Shanks since Shanks was the last person to give hi an actual challenge
Having multiple souls wouldn't mean you don't need to sleep, as sleep is in order for the body to rest, so unless he also has multiple bodies he'd still require sleep. So something else is up with BB.
Shanks knew about Nika!!! I'm assuming the gum-gum fruit was rubbery, so no one could take a proper bite and gain the power. It physically prevented Shanks or any of his crew from eating it, so he was probably a bit frustrated and went to get a drink. Then Luffy eats the fruit and gains the power. Surprise pikachu face. That's my head canon rn

Love the "NPR Tekking" bit. As I'm writing this, you even call it that yourself, amazing. My dad listened to NPR a lot when I was growing up, because he hated commercials. It wasn't always great music but it was always something different.

I think Blackbeard's dream is going to be the exact same thing as Luffy's, whatever it is. It would be interesting to see how two men with such opposing ideals are going about achieving the same goal, and the consequences of both.
The point that you made starting at 20:40 is really deep. Now that I heard this, it makes so much sense! In my life, I have learned that things and experiences are precious BECAUSE they have an ending. And the idea that Luffy understands this about his dream is kind of beautiful. Also, if there are people still thinking Luffy is not Yonko material, Tekking, I think there is an argument to made that they will continue saying that even after he becomes the king of pirates😄
We didn't see Blacbeard eat his fruit directly- what if he 'had to' kill Thatch because Thatch had already eaten the Yami-Yami no mi? He might have gained that power the same way he gained the Gura-Gura.

When Luffy was about to unlock G5, I came up with something. It's not a weird theory that Teach has or will have a zoan DF on top of his Logia and his PAramecia fruits, right? Cerberus, Octopus, Krakken, there are a lot of them floating around (even some poor kid, when we got the reveal of the Hito Hito no Mi, model: Nika, who decided that now everyone had god mythical zoans instead of the DFs they actually had, because "Blackbeard was foreshadowed by Buggy" (yeah, I still don't get the meaning of that, that's why I remember it), so BB had to had the Something God fruit instead of the Yami Yami), we've all heard at least a couple of them. What I did, though, was coming up with a process to determine what BB's Zoan would be. As I mentioned, he currently has a Paramecia power, and a Logia power, but they do have something in common between them: They are both countered by the nature of Luffy's fruit. Let me elaborate: Kurohige ate the Yami Yami no Mi, he is Darkness. When he fought Ace their final clash was a mass of darkness against a miniature sun, and even BB himself brought it up. Luffy is the Sun, the original source of light, the natural enemy of darkness. He also got the Gura Gura no Mi from Shirohige, the strongest paramecia with the ability to create tremors of any magnitude. But Luffy is rubber, and as we had speculated before knowing of his awakening, he can turn other things into rubber. Rubber is shock-absorbent, so it would immediately counter anything created by the Gura Gura. So, what other thing is characteristic within the toolset given to Luffy by his DF? Once we have that answer we can determine what type of creature would be countered by it, and that would be Marshall D. Teach's Zoan ability. For example: The Hito Hito no Mi, model: Nika turns Luffy into a cartoon character, so Teach can have the Inu Inu no Mi, model: Coyote, or the Mythical Hito Hito no Mi, model: Elmer Fudd. The Hito Hito no Mi, model: Nika makes Luffy laugh all the time, he is the incarnation of fun. Blackbeard can have the Mythical Hito Hito no Mi, model: Velma, the antithesis of fun.
I believe black beard ate a mythical Zouon fruit at young age. I think the fruit might have been the Cerberus fruit which would explain black beard ship emblem. That would also explain that he could get 3 fruits in one body as Cerberus would be 3 dogs in one body.
I think Blackbeard’s ultimate goal is a world of never ending piracy. I think he wants to find the One Piece so he can gatekeep it, daring anyone strong enough to defeat him and take it. I think his arrogance makes him genuinely believe that he will be strong enough to never lose again by that point and therefore challengers will never stop coming. When he says dreams never end, I think it means he wants the dream of being King of the Pirates to never end.
You're thinking of dreams in an obtuse way. The dreams, meaning the endless wanting of man, will never die. We all have a dream we wish to achieve, and as new babies are born, they will have their dream. It's not like an infinite dreaming state like sukuyomi 😅 I think.
I no longer can get behind the theories of Shanks being evil or him having a twin, when you reread the chapter, it reads as shanks. I think Shanks went there to simple tell them his mind about a certain pirate... Scenario 1: certain pirate: that being Blackbeard: A warning that he is dangerous or Scenario 2: certain pirate that being Luffy: A warning to not mess with the next generation or both scenario in which the convo was about blackbeard first then led to strawhat Luffy.
