My Dad bought that song for me, and I fell in love with that voice and the harmonies, once I saw the group on tv., I fell in love with Levi and the group. They are a testament in the industry of commitment to the craft and one another. The industry could not break them apart by offering solo careers, the mindset was: one-for-all and all-for-one. What a testament of integrity and loyalty.

Heard this on the radio on the "Oldies" station in 1980. While l was listening l realized l was totally in love with the guy l was dating. We only lasted 4 yrs. but l still love him til this day and still consider this our song.

Levi Stubbs was a great vocalist and frontman. Holland/Dozier/Holland were the best production team at Motown. What an incredible legacy of classic songs they left us.
Motown was the greatest, and the Four Tops were a great group. Levi Stubbs was an awesome lead singer, and thankfully he stayed with the Four Tops (He said there were “Four Tops, not Three Tops!”
They made Levi Stubbs sing at the top of his vocal range so it gave a pleading sound. It's been played to death, but still gives comfort after all these years.

The Motown era was great. My 7th Grade Music Teacher used to line up all of the classic Motown LPs along the classroom wall. The Supremes, Temptations, Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, etc. I feel blessed to have had those groups as part of my teenage years. Thanks for the video!
When i arrived at the Ft. Polk Reception Center in early June 1965 we California White guys shocked our Black Comrades when they discovered we liked the Four Tops! We spent almost an hour before lights out singing "Bernadette; Reach Out and, Baby I Need Your Lovin'"

Back when music was on AM top 40 radio. Everybody listened to the same stuff. You could see the groups on Bandstand or Ed Sullivan. Then FM hit and music splintered off into this genre and that genre. Shame, it was really good when we all listened to the same stuff!!!
