I produced and narrated this 23 minute documentary in 2011. It focuses on the short college football career of Freddie Steinmark at the University of Texas from 1967 to 1969.
He would contract bone cancer at the end of his junior season, have his leg amputated and then lose his life a short time later. He was an inspiration for many who followed, and his legacy lives on at UT all these years later.
It's based on a book written by Jim Dent 'Courage Beyond the Game' and aired on Fox Sports SW.
