the film was created a long time ago and the channel hosting this, is not responsible for its content. i too found it very interesting how the narrative was positioned. there were slave rebellions and one being threatened by buddhoe if the slaves were not freed and gov. general von scholten simply ignored the danish call for "constructive engagement" and declared all slaves in the danish west indies (another mistake) free because he knew that blood would be spilled. he got busted down for that, the crown was not pleased but it was done. he had the equivalent of a court martial and was denied his pension but eventually acquitted.
