I know the feeling of a money pit bike all too well. Went down to a smaller bike because it was more fun and cheaper..or so I thought. Did a serious amount of work and modification the first month I had the CB, first day out after all the work I got taken out by a thick pedestrian. 500 quid later, back on the road. 2 rectifiers, a fuel tap, a tank and 6 months later I take it out Christmas day only to bin it on ice.... Tried to hang the leathers up for a while, lasted about a week until I was out making noise and annoying neighbors.
Wow, that's really unlucky man :L Once it's all fixed it'll be alright, trust me, we've all been there where we buy something and it's one thing after another to get it right... Ride safe.
Can't give up now buddy, you've invested too much time, effort and cash to walk away now. It will be worth it when your luck changes, keep the faith. I know I shouldn't have, but had a giggle at the "fuck my life" comment, we've all been there at some point.
Ah buddy what the hell! Sounds like someone has cursed ya or something! Feel for ya, after doing all that and solving all the problems. All ya wana do is enjoy it.. Hope it gets better buddy, take it easy
My Sympathies !! you could have probably plugged that with a tyre repair kit...you know those ones that you shove a piece of sticky tar like thread into the hole where the nail was .. anyway, I carry one of those if I'm going on a super long trip, but locally like you were, that's just a bad run. bike is lookin' good though.
Just go away for a few days, get pissed and come back again. With a couple of days thinking then make a decision. It happens to us all at some point you are. not on your own Dood! If the pleasure of riding and meeting other bikers outways the aggro you are currently suffering then don't give in to it.Whatever you decide give it a few days before you pour petrol over the ol girl in a rage! Good luck mate👍🏻😎
+ninjanelly350 I literally cannot remember the last time I got to ride with others or go to a meet! I dont think 100 miles is far off what ive achieved this season either. Im not looking to have everything go my way or to win the lotto just an absence of BAD luck would be nice, not just with the bike.
+TheTripleTwister yeah I know, just write this year off,get your shit back together and give it the balls next year dood! Go through it but by bit and it WILL turn the corner and be reliable( just don't blow the engine up again!) Stay positive mate people will meet up with you and you will have a f***in good time again👍🏻😎
I feel like I should come over there and rub shoulders with you in the hope that I become the opposite luck polarity. You'd get continual punctures, breakdowns etc. and I'd get a string of sexy biker chicks hang around me and probably win the lottery ;-) Some days just suck mate, hope you reverse that polarity and start having winners. RSM8.
The Gods of Speed are certainly Testing your Patience... But, IT IS WORTH IT!!!!! Their is ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel (thats the car pulling out...lol) RS, breathe...count to ten...relax and read some Bike Porn (bike mags). >:)
