Hey everyone, you might noticed this has been reuploaded! We had a strange issue overnight where the owner of the music decided to dispute that they owned the track despite us purchasing the rights to it. Anyway, we're back. Enjoy the episode!
I love how even Brundle was hinting at Crofty to shut up with the jinxing. Crofty responded with what was he supposed to talk about and the TV director conveniently shifted focus to a mid-field battle. Crew knew the assignment!
As Max said "if my mom had balls, she would be my dad". Sometimes it works out for you and sometimes it doesn't. Don't make it out like he never had a chance. He was pulling away and had the pace all weekend
In NFL football, the Green Bay Packers traditionally jump into the stands after scoring a touchdown. They call it the "Lambeau Leap." So, I think the "Lando Leap" would be a good tradition if he continues winning.
When Max wins the sprint from pole, starts the race on pole and finishes p2, and he is considered "biggest flop"... Next time predict Charles as biggest flop, starting from pole and then finishing p2, he can do that!
If we're being honest it was a boring race the only difference was Lando in front after the safety car. If Max had remained in front an won everyone would be talking about how boring it was
Tbh, I didn't see him get weighed and the Post-Race Director's Notes specifically state that a driver must main fully dressed (gloves and helmet), may not do anything to increase weight (drink) and may not have contact with anyone else until they have been weighed. Between the excitement of winning the race and possibly forgetting about procedure for a moment and the Stewards being quite triggerhappy lately I was worried there for a second. :D
Piastri was really unlucky, he pitted just before the safety car. It could so easily have been Piastri who pitted under the safety car and scored his first win.
Exactly everyone is saying Norris deserved it but he was no where in that race without the safety car. He couldn’t even pass Perez how the hell would he have gotten past sainz leclerc piastri and verstappen. F1 fans are the dumbest group of people to ever exist
If Kmag gets banned, we'll see Bearman back! Funniest thing is seeing the World Championship leaderboard with Sargent in 21st and they have to scroll to a new page 😂😂😂
I am glad that Checo didn't take Max out at the start! Even as a Max fan I love that Lando's first win wasn't because of a Max dnf it feels so good to. Although i have to say i was conflicted at the start of lando's stint on the hard tires wanted max to win obviously but as we got further into the race I could feel myself wanting lando to win more and more great shit he definitely deserves it and i was smiling ear to ear watching him celebrate it was so wholesome! 🧡
@@richardbrock8139 Max screwed up by hitting that pole and getting floor damage, he could have caught Norris without that. So he kinda screwed it up himself. And I say that as a Max fan.
Boy, it's all relative. He's currently the fastest driver with the fastest car. He's the favorite to win every race and has been for two years. Second place is a great finish objectively, yes. But we all knew Max was going to win this race by 20 seconds. He should have. Expectations are high, that's all it is.
The way the drivers celebrated for Lando was so heart warming. Danny Ric coming in hot for a hug and the way Carlos hugged him made an onion appear somewhere. 🥺😭
The average grid position of the winner going into this race was exactly 6th, so Lando actually lowered that average slightly by winning from 5th on the grid.
Max didn't flop, no point for Matt. Max scored more points than anybody else this weekend. Sprint Qualifying - 1st Sprint - 1st = 8 pts Qualifying - 1st Race - 2nd = 18 pts Total points = 26 points Lando 25 points
Although I like the video's of Matt and Tommy, I hope Matt will never say such a thing again, it made me angry en disliked the earlier video. How can someone say Max is the biggest flop?????
Completely fake man he just showed off himself one more time... All the other drivers came afterwards and hug Lando and congratulated him honestly, that guy is just harming himself that's what I felt at least I might be wrong...
Nah I never liked Hamilton but I think he was also genuinely pleased for lando - I mean max had both hands off the wheel and clapping but Matt doesn’t mention that cos he hates max. But it was so nice to see other drivers we all like - Carlos, Alonso, Danny ric all running down to congratulate him. Very popular win!! Let’s hope for more
Max claps at Lando from the car British commentary: .... Charles claps at Lando from the car British commentary: .... Carlos claps at Max from the car British commentary: .... Lewis claps at Lando from the car: Wow! Look at the respect Lewis Hamilton is showing!! What a class act! A true hero of the people!!
I was out with my family for a meal to celebrate MY birthday (which was actually on Tuesday) and I joked that I would be watching the race on my phone. I did keep checking, but as soon as I saw that safety car with Lando in the lead, I was fully engaged in the race AND had to tune in to twitch. I couldn't miss this one! Thankfully my family are the reason I love F1 and have been a McLaren fan since birth 🤣so they weren't too bothered about me being anti social. Of course, my mum's next question was "Where did Charles finish??...and Verstappen?". The funniest moment was the restaurant staff asking if I actually KNEW Lando, because I seemed so emotionally involved about the possibility of him winning!!!😂🤣
Mind blowing fact: In 1952 Queen Elizabeth II became queen, so the UK anthem went from "god save the king" to "God save the queen", but now that the UK has a king again, today was the first time since 1951 that formula 1 heard God save the king (no UK anthem was heard last year).
Yeah here in Germany it was 12 at night, when they finished. But I was on fire. I managed to stay mostly quiet during the race, but I full on screamed when Lando crossed the line and then I started crying of joy hahaha 😂
You mention Lewis applauding Lando, which was great, but apparently missed that BEFORE that Max passed lando, applauding. I'm Dutch but I wanted Lando to win. Can we now also agree the RB is not the dominant car people say it was (as has been proven by Perez all the time) but MAx has been the dominant driver.
I haven't seen anyone talking about how well Leclerc drove comparatively to those around him. His hards were 19 laps older than those around him and he should have finished 5th or 6th. However, it was bad strategy/luck that put him in that place with an early pit. And good luck with Piastri and Carlos eating their tires battling. But he kept up well with Max through to the end. In a way he was a passenger with choas in front and behind him.
am i the only one who 200% blames sainz on that piastri situation? man that shit pissed me off, piastri was having a godlike race and sainz just comes out the woodworks pissy cause he couldnt run oscar off the track and just dives him and fucks his front wing might be biased idk, man shit really triggered me
Tommy's tasty tweet picture has a real 'Max Verstappen when he sees the replay of his teammate litteral millimeters from sending Max into the shadow realm' vibe to it.
We are living through another change of eras in F1. Defending before a corner and hard wheel to wheel driving that would have been fine even up to 3 years ago is now a slam dunk penalty. Taking people out does deserve a penalty but otherwise the other (older) drivers involved are calling most of this stuff a racing incident.
I hope for the driver ratings they give Oscar his just desserts. He was the driver of the weekend 10/10. I know Lando won but Oscar was flawless all weekend in a lesser McLaren.
Honestly there were a lot of wild overtakes, the alpines going side by side through turns 11-16 was shocking. Hamilton went around the outside of 12, and if Kmag had pulled off the move vs Logan that would've been a brilliant move.
Red Bull confirmed that Max had floor damage after the race, a rather large hole in the left side of the floor. You could see it come off during the slow motion replay, yet none of the commentators picked up on it.
@@Rob2 Comments which Max made before talking to the team. He thought it was the tyres but the lack of pace was due to the hole in the floor which caused him to lose over two tenths per lap to Norris in sector one
On Bottas appearing in the driver of the day votes: someone mentioned something about xQc being in the Sauber garage or something thus prompting his followers to vote for that team’s driver
8:08 - So you weren’t paying attention. He was weighed before getting to the pitlane, just after getting out of the car, 5 secs before he greets Bin Sulayem.
Martin Brundle was telling Crofty to shhhhhhh. He was telling can we talk about something else. Paistri was unlucky w the clipped wing sure he be up there Poduim
I was like 30 mins smlling like a proud mama hen watching lando !! SO HAPPY for that man ! and even more happy with half the grid that came to congratulate him immediately! Such wholesome scenes!! Alsoo.....WE GOT A MIAMI GP BANGER !!! What a race omg!
It was my anniversary and I watched the race late. I woke my wife up a couple times yelling! The last 10 laps had my heart beating out of my chest for the 4th time that day... Watching all the past teammates and drivers go to celebrate with Lando was amazing to see!
I still dont understand how that is Kmag's fault, he was already in the inside and Logan didnt even look if he was there, so he shut the door, if someone was to blame would be more Logan than Kmag
@@Grammarlings-cf8yw His front wheel was well in front of Logan's back wheel. In fact, that's how they touched. Back wheel to front wheel. How is that just "shoving a nose"?
@@danieltatar7575 I know right? i cannot fathom how people can possibly blame KMag for this incident. Sargeant had the whole track to position himself, they had just raced each other down the straight, he would have seen where the other driver came out of that first corner on the inside while he himself took the outside route. He should have known he was there, yet he choose to go into the apex causing the crash and his only excuse was, well i didn't know he was there. Sure but you should have known or at least expected it. Meanwhile Sainz took out Piastri and ruined his race and got away with it.
Was really expecting someone to Photoshop Matt in place of the bollard, from Max's perspective, Matt saying "Max Verstappen biggest flop" and Max cutting the chicane to take him out 😂😂😂
all the tears and happiness of him finally winning and then he drops the F bomb IMMEDIATELY in post race. i havent laughed that hard in a loonnnng time. cheers lando
I got scammed. Matt said whoever makes the AWS Perez super close to being demoted meme wins Funniest Tweets. Made it during the race, he saw it, and I wasn't even included 😭
There is some audio problems from 4 min and 52 sec mark. The audio stream goes from stereo to mono only on the left side. Before that time the Audio is normal and it is only that clip from twitch.
I was at the race this weekend. It was INCREDIBLE! I was cheering for Lando so hard, especially on that final lap. I was crying tears of joy after he crossed the finish line. I loved it!
I'm surprised that I hear nobody about the safety car picking up the wrong car as racelead. (this was before Lando went into the pit: gap went from 10 seconds to 37 seconds before Lando went into the pit) Don't get me wrong, Lando was great; he 100% deserved this GP win and more in the future.
The best part about Lando's win is, it wasn't some fluke from Verstappen where Redbull dropped the ball and let someone else win. It was brilliant driving from Lando and a lucky Safety car.
The Red Bull set up didn't look ideal and Max got floor damage when hitting the pole. So both RB and Max himself did drop the ball. But Norris drove masterly, got everything out of that car, he fully deserved that win. You have to capitalize when the opportunity arises, and Lando did. Even as a Max fan i was really happy for him.
I have missed watching two F1 races live in ten years. The last one was Kimi’s last F1 win w Ferrari and the second was yesterday. You’re welcomed people.
