An Arch Tempered Alatreon with 4 player scaled health, which results in around 120.000 HP. I didn't observe any AI changes from having the AT flag enabled. I played way safer than I'd usually do, so if you really wanted, you could do it a bit faster but I think the main feat is actually clearing this quest, since your DPS will get a steep drop after the third Escaton, since he'll shift to the opposite Element with nothing you can do to prevent it.

Evade Window is probably the source, it increases the i-frames for the roll. Once you have 3 points for it, you're pretty much set if you know the attack patterns.

As a man who loathes Alatreon, and everything the beast stands for, this does put a smile to my face. Seeing it's power being sapped from it fills me with a euphoria, and this is at it's Arch-Tempered State, it's most powerful state possible. It's good to see a brave hunter like you tear apart that thorn in my side. Seriously though, who designed it? It's like a Fatalis was chilling at a bar, saw an Eevee who was just it's size, and said "Hey beautiful, why don't we go somewhere private." And then 9 Months later, Alatreon is born and over the years becomes that edgy fool who nobody likes because they say "my blood is black and I'm chained like a prisoner."

Charge blade phials have a reduced value for the DPS check. I think it's 0.1 where as other normals hits is like 1.1. so in some cases it's faster to not use savage ace. When I fight the blighter I use (Xbox controls) Y - Y - Y+B and repeat in sword and shield mode, between the legs to build the elemental DPS check quickly.

@@m1mmym Ofcourse your spirit helm splitter wouldn't do high damage as a safi blast LS would do but your normal attacks will make up for some damage loss besides, helm splitter is just one move that needs timing to land and can easily be missed alot in multiplayer so it wouldn't be much of a damage loss. I like elemental LS style against the monsters that have high elemental weaknesses and Alatreon is one of them. I recommend using kjaar ice by my personal experience. Since it makes Alatreon elemental dps check look like a walk in the park.

Use the same without the Resentment charm, maybe for Guard 5. Max out Evasion and the rest can stay. You can downgrade your evasion points if you feel more confident in evading.

What makes this AT? All of its attacks are the same, they're not faster, Alatreon has no new attacks showcased in this video, you never got hit so I don't know if he does more damage or not, The only thing that seems to have changed is the amount of health. I'm a little upset.

I am ps4 player and wish to take this challenge. I beat alatreon Solo as well but my dude here Akantor makes my run look like tickle fest with alatreon. Granted, I should have upgraded Kulve Taroth for Kjar weapons I still have to do the run but already had safi weapon upgrade before realizing I could have upgraded my kjar weapons.

No the question takes place after the recon against safi jiiva. Alatreon goes to places where there is no life. He's at the bottom area of safi's area. Safi story wise is waiting to come back after we drove him off.

I do it and it works fine. I just miss a couple times so I don’t regen too much health and then the rest of the fight I would have resentment active and also have good health but he has said in another comment that he forgot to swap the charm

capcom really screwed up the elemental values, ice does 110% dmg during fire mode and 50% during dragon, but dragon does only 10% dmg during fire/ice modes and a pathetic 70% dmg in dragon mode, the form that alatreon is supposed to be weak to it in

Dragon Element is a terrible choice for Alatreon. If you bring Ice to the Alatreon, you'll deal heavy damage during Phase 1. When he switches to dragon, your main priority becomes the head, that takes a significant amount of raw damage. So the slightly better Dragon Element weakness is not helping that much, especially in the long run. Dragon Phase is the stage of the fight that you want to keep as short as possible anyway, since that is the phase that has the most undesirable AI (flying) and has mediocre elemental weaknesses, even if you bring Dragon. If you frontload your damage to the start and then do fat chunks after Escaton due to his change back to Fire, he is sure to die relatively fast. The shorter the hunt, the less risks and potential carts can arise.

TBF, the game has no AT Alatreon file, so setting it to be AT doesn't change anything besides the metallic sheen, and the quest he used as a base only increased the HP, and nothing more. A real AT Alatreon would be more difficult in every aspect besides HP.

I must be behind on updates or something, did something change regarding Resentment, dragonvein, and health augment? I thought only late hits activated the safi hp drain before hp aug healed, making the skill useless if you have both. Great run btw, your consistency through long fights is very admirable

well played! does resentment work with health augment? meaning you lose health due to safi armor when you swing, and the bonus damage from resentment applies to the hit before u get the heal from health augment? :)

Resentment absolutely does work with health augment, or at least for the charge blade im sure, in the beginning of each swing of a sword move or axe animation you loose hp and that happens in a split second before your swing touches the monster skin hence your attacks will always be buffed by resentment and only after you land the hit, health augment will trigger thus healing any red hp you have or in some occasions only a part of it. I run it now in all my elemental chargeblades builds after seeing it for my self, Tiieleven is a famed CB speedrunner who also runs health augment in his resentment builds because it works.
