Thank you Wendy and Dr. Rovin. This is such a complex disease and hard to understand. Talking to Dr.’s can be so intimidating and confusing. Having these forums breaks it down on layman terms so that we non medical people can understand and become more educated and therefore ask better questions of our health care providers. They need us to be a part of the process and it’s hard to engage if we don’t know what to say.

Thank you Wendy it was very good info, Dr Rodgers thank you as well, it was very good info you give us about the numbers in Lupus stages, I was diagnose in 2001 and even aldo I'm going true so much I agree with you Dr, not everyone should be treated the same, and yes I also agree with the clinical trials that's the only way we can know how to treat different people with the same illness. I am stage 3 also, my Doctor has given bad recommendations several times I have had to correct him. I study and look up everything to keep informed. I find doctors are often giving bad advice and purposely lie for whatever reasons. My doctor told me I just monitor and also that my blood pressure is the cause of dropping in to stage 3B. However he could not explain when my numbers improved with the same blood pressure issues.

The sle lupus is trying to attack my kidneys, it's attacking my heart and lungs making my lungs hurt and uncomfortable, my aunt died of sle lupus not long ago, it attacked her heart and lungs she was on the highest level of oxygen before she died.

I was diagnosed almost 10 years ago after 10 years of fighting and several misdiagnoses it sucks so much and sometimes the pain I just wish I was gone I was told I couldn't have it because I was white.

I am so sorry to hear that Kim Mcbay my heart goes out to you. It sounds like you need to find a new doctor. He is definitely failing you as for as ensuring that he is doing what is BEST for you. I never have an issue changing doctors. We must be our own advocates. Not all doctors possess empathy and compassion for patients. Unfortunately, it comes down to them getting paid by your insurance. Get away from him/her and research doctors in your area that have good patient ratings and is very seasoned in the specific area of concern. I’m big on doctors listening and being just as concerned about me if not more. I pray God will order your steps to find a good doctor. 🙏🏽
