this is kind of like the uncanny vally for cinematic productions, the closer you get to a high budget production the more you see that everything other than cameras are failing you.

I find the whole visual rendering topic very interesting. I know that they used it on The Mandalorian. I didn’t think about reflections. Ambient light is one of those things that you probably won’t notice until it’s not there, but the second it’s gone, you realize how much better it looks with the reflections.

Most of it looks pretty fake. It still has a ways to go. Careful integration of this is probably most optimal at the moment rather than faking most of the scene.
