A gentle giant with kind eyes and an undeniable ability to make you feel good about yourself, this musical master brings 25 years of commitment, consistency and depth to a career that so skillfully blends the many genres of performing and communication, Billboard Magazine dubbed him "Mr. Multi-Media."
More than the music, the two-time Juno winner and eight-time nominee's body of work is about energy and emotional connection. The guy who crawled magically out of that hollow log for 12 seasons and nearly 900 episodes in the hit CBC TV show Fred Penner's Place receives fan mail to this day from some of the 55 million American viewers where the show ran for four years on Nickelodeon in the U.S.
About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Fred Penner made me who I am 40 years ago and now my 6 month old daughter smiles when I sing and play his songs.

I grow up watching Fred Penner, Ernie Coombs , how those two made me the person who I am today. I feel very sad that today kids don’t have role models what i had !!!

This amazing person was a big part of my childhood and his music still helps me today. I recently sent him an email and just received a reply and in this letter I honestly didn't have much else to say to him except "Thank you" it makes me happy that his music helped kids before me and still helps them today, he truly is a wise man

Growing up, I loved his log to get into his hideout. I so wanted a tunnel of some sort to get into my room and keep others out. 😀

Because he was, a room full of folks raised by him, he's amazing and kind and loving and wise. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!

That's what he does, he entertains and teaches children... And children are more polite than you

Guess no one told you to treat others how you want to be treated.
