The Future of Kubernetes Auth and Policy Config: Common Expression Language - Mo Khan, Microsoft & Jordan Liggitt, Google
The Common Expression Language (CEL) is a non-Turing complete language designed for simplicity, speed, safety, and portability. In this SIG Auth deep dive, we will discuss the various places we have adopted CEL to make auth and policy config more dynamic and featureful. The specifics of the CEL runtime environment in each use case will be highlighted with examples, especially in regards to static and dynamic typing. Future areas where we are considering using CEL or expanding the CEL runtime environment will be analyzed.
