Hi Anya! I usually don't comment on RU-vid videos, but I want to say that I absolutely love your channel and videos. I'm still pretty green to cosplay, and getting to watch your process in creating costumes and talking about con experiences has been a huge motivator and comfort for me. I tend to keep your videos on in the background when I'm crafting and they get me pumped to keep going when I hit a snag in my work and don't think I can keep going. I'm so sorry to hear about the post-Covid dip, but just wanted to say that you're doing amazing and that I eagerly look forward to the new content you release in time. You really inspired me through my journey and I'm currently working on a Daisy cosplay and that decision was definitely inspired by yours. obiously a bit late, but the alogrithm is so hard to understand and it really isn't kind to most creators. I don't know if it's a mindset matter that people are now more wanting fast and short form content but it still sucks. It sucks to see your channel engagement dwindle to basically nothing when you still put so much work and love and time into creating. I don't think there are solutions, but we can only continue as best we can and keep working as hard as we can. If it’s any consolation RU-vid shorts have definitely fucked up the algorithm, and if you want to get more views unfortunately those channels are kinda the only ones gaining traction. I hope having a more relaxed upload schedule will give you more peace of mind. I’ve Been a fan for years and you even inspired me to try cosplay! It ended up not being for me, but your costume construction really motivated me to get better at sewing and I’m now studying costume design! Hope you take care of yourself. I actually look up to you as a fellow youtuber, and my small channel isn't growing at all like I want, so I feel you on not posting as much anymore and ideas being difficult to come, I struggle myself in that. But I think doing youtube for you and not for those who might still be watching, is a good thing to think about. Even if that's not the case, I know things have been hard for creators since covid and with big youtubers leaving after say 8-10 years of being on the platform, I can get how the struggle is after my own channel had a temp hiatus when I was moving and from before I got my laptop I have now. We creators need to stick together and life each other up, just know that I am here if you need to talk, I have discord, or comments here. I'm actually still watching your other videos (I'm in your 2020 uploads), as I like to watch all a creator has to offer when I find someone that I enjoy (and I can only hope people do that for me as well.)
Probably not the greatest feeling of going that route as a content creator. However, the silver-lining would be that you're not forcing yourself to post something, which lets your passion shine the most when you do happen to post. That, and the whole quality over quantity angle as well.

I don't usually comment on videos/more of a lurker but I've been watching your vids for years and years, and I still love watching your new videos whenever they come out and putting on your older cosplay videos (Ones I've already seen) when I'm making new costumes for conventions. Always gets me in the mood to be creative =) The RU-vid algorithm blows but I fully believe you can figure out a way to make it work in your favor!!

This may not mean much coming from a stranger on the internet. But I just wanna thank you for everything you’ve done for the cosplay community. And for me specifically. I got bullied out of cosplay a couple years ago when I moved to a new school. And hadn’t even touched my cosplays since then. But this year one of your old videos I used to watch popped up. I watch it again, and it was like the spark of love for cosplay was relit. I watched like almost all of your newer videos while cleaning out my old cosplay closet. Fixed up some of my old favs and tried them on. And its safe to say im completely in love with cosplay again. Ive been styling wigs with your videos on in the back ground again. And its really been so wonderful to relive that with such an amazing channel. It sucks that youtube doesn’t push such amazing content creators like you. You are truly one of my fav RU-vidrs. Now and then. Its funny that this channel was always the reason I got into/back into cosplay. I hope you know just how appreciated this channel really is. And how entertaining and funny you are. You have made a gallant try and your efforts are noted. Your comments about all your efforts make me remember my path. In the 1990's I tried to have a small costume shop. It had a cool location and such. (this was during the infancy of the internet and pre Cosplay) But I could never earn a living wage. There came that time when I had to turn away and go back to Corp. America just to get the bills paid. It was a very disheartening choice. You have those feelings of failure. 25 years later I have learned how to balance the creative side and the need for income and feel much more accomplished. Give yourself grace not judgement. And allow time to show you the path to the balance. Good luck.

It’s been some time since I commented last, but I wanted to restate how much I love your videos. They reminded me just how much I enjoy doing it, esp for niche characters, when I lost the spark for it during hectic college studies. It really sucks that these videos that inspire me so much aren’t being recommended out as much as your hard work deserves. Your sadness abt it is understandable. I know for me, when the pandemic hit, and i wasn't doing cosplay anymore, i stopped watching a lot of the cosplay channels i was following. Same for the few people i followed who vlogged their daily lives. I think the only thing i continued to consistently watch was game theory. I know that doesn't mean much for how to improve things. I'm just wondering if that's also why other people stopped.
Whatever video you make, I will watch no matter what, and I don't want you to give up, you introduce me to cosplay and I want you to keep going even if it takes lightyears

I know how disheartening it can be to work really hard on something and it never gets seen because algorithms are a bitch and make no sense. And how it can feel like your work as a result isn’t as valuable. Yeah it’s a fallacy, but it still sucks. It's sad how youtube changes constantly and expects everyone to change their content and fit with whatever the current meta is, but i wish you the best and hope these changes benefit both you and the channel in the long run
Your uploads are a genuine highlight. If I have to wait longer for it, then so be it. Its so sad the YT makes it so difficult for its content creators to do just that.

The algorithm suuuuucks, I've realised lately how many people I'm subscribed to that don't ever show in my feed which is so annoying. I've always loved your videos, I remember watching so many of them leading up to my first con when I was about 15, and I've always loved your storytimes, especially the ones about when you were younger as they really helped 15 year old nerdy me feel normal. I'm 20 now and I'm so sad that RU-vid hasn't been showing you in my feed. I've dinged the bell now and changed my RU-vid bookmark on my browser to link to my subscription feed instead of the homepage so I'll see your uploads more!
