I did understand that AI is given the json output from network equipment for analysis. What I don’t understand is how AI translates human prompts to API requests to the network. Also what is done that AI is capable of analyzing the network outputs?.. what is the role of network engineer to create such a plugin for his own needs?

There is a "manifest file" that is a bridge between human questions and the API. In this file we describe our APIs to the AI so it 'knows' how to pick the correct API given a prompt. There is still some abstracted black magic here - but that is how it works
