Why have we been silent for few weeks? Today I explain why. It’s a talky video so don’t expect any action. But I wanted to tell you about some big challenges we’ve faced and how we’re hoping to move forward.

I echo the above viewers words! I love watching your channel, listening to you and Marc banter, and especially watching you interact with your children. They are adorable and so well behaved, especially noticed during December with your daily vlogs. While you and Marc stood in one place talking to us or walking about, they seemed to either self-entertain or occasionally Julia would quite gently let you know she'd like to be picked up and quietly be content to let you continue talking into what must've appeared to her that you were talking into the air! Very sweet! I'm past my 3 score and 10 + 6 with some health issues that prevent me from physically climbing up ladders painting or peeling off old wallpaper or applying new. However, I once enjoyed the creathive process of fixing up a home to my taste or digging in a garden to clear weeds and add beautiful plants of various heights, colors & textures. Now I'd rather watch younger couples across the pond restoring 17th, 18th, & 19th century Estates or Châteaux to preserve their history, art, and architecture than watch mindless movies or TV shows. I'll be pretty bummed when this fad of sharing Château restorations on RU-vid passes by! So happy your winter health challenges are nearly behind you! It is very interesting to back search the trolls. One snippety soand so o another site pontificated about a reply I made. On looking at his/her channels I found some really unpleasant and cruel things . That troll seems to have vanished after I complained! I wonder why? Amy, thank you for sharing. I can only imagine the effort you’ve put into this, and all while having very young children. I was a stay at home mother of two boys, then became a full time RN 16 years later. Being a mother, a parent, is the most important roll and job in the world. These precious children are only little once, and then they’re grown. The incredible investment you are making can never be taken from you, or them. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos and seeing the progress you have made. Amy, please don't be hard on yourself, yourselves. You have quite enough on your plate with two young children, enormous renovations, the daily run of things plus creating videos. You will run out of reserves and energy, which is very counterproductive. I do understand it must be difficult with such beautiful small children, to juggle everything, and your right to want to give them the attention their little souls need. They say the first 5 years are the foundation that the rest of their lives are built on. (Or something like that!) I would like to address the naysayers....I feel for every one, there must be hundreds of encouraging people. So don't let the less than 1% spoil it for the 100% that love what you are doing. Keep up the good work, it's amazing to watch your progress, and all the exciting plans you have in the works. Bless you all in health and happiness.

I think 30,000 subscribers is amazing! Mind boggling to think of a large town of people watching. Some channels are just slow growers but if they persist they grow. I am sure yours will grow. It is good. Best, Stephanie ps I really enjoy some chateau channels that are 6-8,000 subscribers - some of which I enjoy more than the big chateau channels. I don’t understand trolls but they do seem to focus on women - just block them - such behaviour comes from them and their issues I’m afraid.

We were talking recently about how easy it is to get sucked into a narrative where your worth and the worth of your work is defined by such abstract things as follower numbers. It’s healthy to step back and reaffirm your self worth by things that really matter.

awww i love so much watching your shows. I didnt notice it being less than in anyway!!!
